RE: Zable Stadium Renovation
The wall that is gone is behind section II which is the last section of seats on the west side and at the south end of Zable. As of Sunday it was the only wall gone .
On Saturday while we are attending and enjoying the QB Club cookout and the Spring Game we all will be able to see more.

If I'm not mistaken, TDenver is currently a student and likely walks by the stadium more than most of us. I know the one picture showed the back starting to be pulled off, so it sounds like he walked by and saw some more progress on that (TDenver, apologies if I'm putting words in your mouth).

RE: Zable Stadium Renovation
I was cruzing around town Sunday on my bicycle and rode around Zable and was able to look over the fence surrounding the practice field and could see the whole length of the west side ,then went around to the front gate which was opened and I went in and section II was the only back wall missing , so far.

Yeah I'm a student. It's the little brick wall at the top of the stands (You can see them starting to tear it down in this pic https://www.facebook.com/wmtribeathletic...&theater). There's maybe about 10 feet of it left near the center of the stadium, the rest of it is now completely gone.

I do not understand why they would take the top wall down at this time - [I lean against that wall during the games] - they will have to replace it with something before the season starts.

Zable Stadium Renovation
The back of the current section will probably be a key component of the structure that will go on top. Knowing nothing about construction, if that is going to be part of the foundation it makes sense that it gets put in now. I'm sure they'll have something for everyone in the back rows to lean on once the season starts.

This may have been discussed previously, or in another thread, so apologies if this is has already been answered.

Have there been any plans discussed as to what will happen with the current press box and visiting team coaches box after the new seats and press box are open in 2016? I talked with one of the Tribe Club folks a few months back and it was TBD at that time. Any further info known? Thanks.

That could make sense; I know nothing about this type of construction either. I was relying upon previous statements that in 2015 construction work was going to be limited to "ground work" and "foundation work"; but if there is going to be a poured concrete wall behind the entire current West stands as part of the overall renovation I could see why they may wish to do that as part of the work this year.

I think the structure on top of the 2nd deck will house coaches boxes for both teams, press box, and media space for radio and TV broadcasts.

They will, as it is there's currently nothing there preventing people from falling off. The school would get sued out the ass if someone fell off cause there was no wall.

In the updated photos posted earlier today, it looks like an interim link fence with a green tarp cover has been put in place.

The bottom of the new structure will come up even to the top of the stands in time for the 2015 season, while the press box will again be temporary it will no longer sit atop a scaffolding structure, it will sit atop a permanent structure.

The engineering firm will be at the qb club golf outing, so you can probably ask them anything you want to know...of course you will need to play in order t do that...;-)

I would love to play, but it's on a work day and I have a big meeting that same day.

Zable Stadium Renovation
For those who couldn't attend, can anyone give the highlights of what the architect said after the QB club golf outing?

We just introduced them, and recognized them. No time for presentation.

My understanding is that the support area for the new deck and press box will be completed up to the top level of the current structure prior to this season.

Ah gotcha, for some reason I thought there would some kind of brief report or Q&A or something with those guys. I think it's great that they sponsored the golf event though.

I believe the athletic department will be having presentations, perhaps in May and/or June, for season ticket holders updating the project and perhaps detailing initial information on seating changes.
