Wow! WHO IS THIS GUY?

This is a joke right. They have more alums on the BOT because that's the way they want it. This guy is terrible...how in the hell did he get the job....wait a minute ...oh those UA alums on the board.

This guy is a hand picked puppet!
If PBjr ever wore a jock, he'd be sniffing it.

Incredible. He's got to go.

I bet he failed to discuss the closed trustee selection policy and how there is no open nomination process.

Gotta love it. Ray Watts is now the public PR man for the BOT!!! I bet PBj and Finis are starting to clean out their pants on this news.

The more he speaks the madder I get. It needs to be pitchforks and torches at the Admin building and the BOT meeting.

Did it seem like anyone there was buying what he had to say?

At the rate Watts is going by the time we get to the 15th he'll be saying "Facts! I don't need no stinking facts!"

I couldn't agree more.

He's one more arrogant *** ** * ***** that is hell bent on tearing down what has been built. Folks, it ain't gonna stop with football and athletics. If unchecked, come back in 5-10 years and you won't know UAB. No one can convince me otherwise. He along with the damn "powers" of BOT have to be stopped!

This is crazy. It's freaking published in the BBJ that the foundation/City of Bham was willing to put up $10M to fund the practice facility.

They don't want UAB to have a football team....period.
That's what we are dealing with.

I don't believe he has a backup plan. He doesn't know a thing about athletics and what they mean for a university.

How does he blame it on someone else (Margison) when he stated it was his decision?

Watts is incompetent as a university president. Look up the Peter Principle and it will describe Ray Watts.

Just like Hitler, Stalin and Obama have said. Just keep telling the same lie long enough and it becomes the truth. Those bastards are digging in. I trust we are digging in harder. This fight will really begin once the douchbag of a president is GONE.
Step 2: Put supreme pressure on the Governor to kick Jr. and FineAss off the board for interference in UAB's business when it comes to football.

I don't think the crowd bought much of what he said at all. It was a pretty large crowd too. If Watts was going to have support anywhere on campus you would think it would be with the medicine group. But he didn't seem to have much support in the room.

Another thing I found a bit incredulous was his claim that this hasn't hurt the Campaign for UAB. He said actually donations have gone up significantly over the last couple weeks since the football decision was announced.

Is he going to commission Carr to put out a report stating that as well? As long as we are lying and making up numbers, no reason to stop with Football. I would call this puppet an ass clown but I have been told that would be extremely unfair to ass clowns everywhere,.

You can't take a syllable that comes out of his mouth for face value, especially where that "campaign" of his is concerned. That probe that Cubby has shoved up Watts's *** is working to perfection...He's toast! He has to be!!! #VoteOfNoConfidence...

If that is true, it has more to do with it being the end of the year than it is an endorsement of his decision.

People are trying to get in last minute donations before the calendar year ends for tax write offs.

I agree with you first sentence. They sent out a lot of letters and I'm sure a lot of people did actually donate.

The second sentence is a misrepresentation of how charitable donations work. I don't even know what you mean by write offs.

Except for this guy.

90% of anything I give the charity or any other tax-related donations happens in December...
