I just noticed that Carolina's DC Sean Mcdermott was named NFL's coordinator of the year voted by coaches and executives. He should get a chance to be a HC soon.

The Carolina Panthers had the No. 2-ranked scoring and total defenses in the NFL on their way to a NFC South title. For those results, the man behind that defense, Sean McDermott, is Sporting News’ 2013 Coordinator of the Year. McDermott received the most votes in a poll of coaches and executives. The 39-year-old has held the position since 2011, joining the staff of fellow former Eagles assistant Ron Rivera, the Panthers’ head coach.

Yeah, this is from last year when Carolina's defense was great all year. This season, the defense struggled with injuries and poor secondary play.

The Redskins just fired their DC and are in the market for a replacement......................................

Haslett is very good DC. You can't coach what you don't have.

Despite numerous injuries, Sean's Charlotte team played great defense in its last three games
to win the Division title. In the playoff win last weekend Sean was lauded by the TV crew
and shown in the booth where he calls the defenses.

He may very well be an NFL head coach in a year or so.
