Drexel
Two convincing wins to start conference play - I will take it. I know Drexel is really down right now so that has to come into consideration, but what a start.

WOW! We're pretty good this year, but Drexel is BAAAAD! Drexel v Delaware this year should be a war :)

I think Charleston is much closer to Delaware than to the upper teams. They are making JMU look decent.

Drexel's worst loss of the year. Just three weeks ago they almost won at Penn State.

Road wins are big no matter who the opponent.

BTW, anyone notice the Monarchs cracked the Top 25 for the first time in program history?!? That will be a VERY good loss for us by the end of the year, just like UNC.

Pretty sure Drexel's worst loss of the year was when they were "Blinded" by U of the Sciences on their home court. Keep it going at Elon boys!

JMU has been decent at home this year, so, no real surprise there..
Think more mediocrity below the top this year than the league may have ever seen.

Easily the worst loss this year for Drexel and could have been far worse...notwithstanding University of the Sciences.

Granted it's been during the dregs moments at end of games, but Tom Schalk sure is solid with the ball and offensively very efficient around the basket.
Very comfortable with the prospect of Tom having to provide key minutes at any time this year if, both, Sean and Jack get into foul trouble. Tom plays like the senior he is, when on the floor.

Take care of business, that is all. Go Tribe!

100% agree. Tribe should thoroughly dominate Drexel. In fact, we should have our bench on court the entire 4th Q with 30 points to give.

Except for the fact that there are no quarters, Tribal is looking pretty prescient.

Good point...my kids are big Wizards fans do my head is stuck on NBA breaks.

The seats were mostly empty at the Daskalakis Athletic Center on Monday night with the exception of press row, where NBA scouts packed in tightly to watch William and Mary star Marcus Thornton....
.....in front of representatives from the Nets, Nuggets, Wizards, Magic, Spurs and Grizzlies.
"Offensively, he's got it," one NBA scout said.
That scout said the question isn't whether Thornton will play in the NBA, only whether he'll stick.

RE: Drexel
I don't care if Drexel is down or playing physics lab students...we responded to a poor start and just turned up the pressure with solid, aggressive defense and a flying offense.

Marcus was out of sight last night in ever facet. His six assists, four of which came right at the start off the second half, are a career high (and Charlie Woolum said on the radio he should have had nine assists!).

Great game, too by Dixon...don't forget his smothering defensive job on Lee in the second half...Lee never saw the basket. And solid games by everyone else. Omar and Terry with
do everything games and Sheldon solid in the middle (he's getting better and better on the perimeter handling the ball, too).

Malinowski another impressive fifteen minutes..not just three-pointers but four rebounds, too.

Keep it rolling, guys, at Elon Thursday night. Let's come home 3-0 for the week for the JMU game and have a big crowd at Kaplan Saturday to support these guys.

RE: Drexel
W&M is 111th in RPI according to ESPN. The only team they've lost to with a lower RPI right now is Florida (131). All of their wins are over teams ranked lower except for their win over Wofford (31)- CoC is 223, Drexel 266, Western Illinois 275, Howard 298 and Rice 340.

And yes, insert standard caveats about RPI here. I just find it amusing that we can say Florida's dragging down W&M's numbers.
