HBCU Championship
I haven't seen any mention of this on here, but I'm guessing most have seen that the MEAC and SWAC will host a championship for their respective conference champions. There's some payout, but I don't believe it is anything major; especially after it is split 20+ ways, or however they do it. SWAC never did playoffs, but it means one more playoff spot and no potential MEAC at large team. Although some over on AGS seem to want the playoffs shrunk, that's not going to happen. I did see a couple folks speculate on whether any MEAC schools would opt to leave the conference. I doubt that will happen either, but wouldn't it be interesting if Hampton or NSU wound up in the CAA? Given Hampton is on our side of the water and NSU is teetering on the verge of academic oblivion, I'd prefer Hampton; but I think that's a long shot as well.
