Is anyone else having difficulty seeing the newest posts in this thread? I keep getting directed back to page 1.
Edit: it's working now, since I made a post.

Yup, I've had that problem occasionally too. Sometimes it will do it after I make a post, other times it'll randomly select another poster to spaz out about. It takes me to page one, and the latest post won't be there when I click over to the last page.

It's due to the size of the thread. We would have issues every time it got to about 40 pages on the Soccer Thread in the AAC board...had to make a new one 5 times so far. Seeing as how we just got to 40 on this I'm assuming that's probably the issue here.

The words "unforeseen circumstances" makes me think that is the case. Then again, maybe there is some personal issue that makes him want to stay closer to home.

Same here...and honestly, if there were a kid I'd be alright with losing it would be him. We've got arguably 4 better WR's (Hicks, Rogers, Jackson, and Williams) in this class already and our younger ones in the program already seem to be getting time on the field. We really didn't need 5 WRs in this class, and I'm hoping that means that we have some players at other positions (OL, DE/DT, LB, DB) coming up.

As kicker names go...that's top notch right there
Way better than Pitt's former kicker Chris Blewitt, that's for sure.

I think we need to create a FB Class of 2018 II thread. We still have three months until national signing day and there will be a significant amount of posting in December, January and February (particularly with the early signing period to come and then obviously with National Signing Day in February).

I saw Alec Pierce got special teams player of the week, but am i the only one watching him run the field on special teams thought this guy might be a complete stud at linebacker? I don't know if he played D in high school or not, and i know he's second on depth chart at wr, but at 6'4 and almost 200 lbs right now, he looks like he would be a defensive monster. Sturdy kid, definitely physical and agile. Conner Barwin II?

I know he occasionally played defense in high school, but I can't find which position specifically. Judging by this article mentioning him being part of their pass rush, probably DE or OLB: https://football.dailyherald.com/sports/...th-defense

You aren't the only one who at least had this passing thought on Saturday. He looked very explosive both as a hitter and getting to and closing on the football.

Made a great play to pin them deep on punt coverage, and the very next play turned into a safety. Kid is obviously athletic (though we already knew that)...it's good to see his talents can be spread across all three areas of the game if the need arose.

At a minimum, I think it shows how special of an athlete the kid is to be put out there in his first game as a true frosh and also deliver at a high level. We obviously need to get better in the passing game but I didn't see too much that stood out to me from our WRs on Saturday. I'm not so sure Pierce can't help us out at WR sooner rather than later.

Just looking at the guys who are playing/making significant contributions it's obvious the coaching staff is recruiting as well as we thought. Can't wait to see it pay off in a year or two.

Was surprised not the see Vann out there, but the youngins who did play were making positive impacts across the field.

Did Vann see any action, even on special teams? I was a little surprised by that - we'll need him to get some good reps this year, given the losses on the line to graduation.
