Access Bowl
Wow I just noticed how terrible of a match up this game is.

#10 10-3 Arizona vs #20 10-2 Boise State

It's a pitty that Georgia Tech could not take out FSU.

I hope that one's somehow sarcastic, and I just missed it... AZ barely beat a middling MWC team (Nevada)... Should Arizona win? Yes. Should it be a good game? Absolutely.

Well, they were only about 40 points short.

Arizona would be in the Fiesta Bowl even if they had won the Pac-12 title game, anyway. Remember, the Rose is not available this year.

RE: Access Bowl
It's not that either team is bad because both have had amazing seasons.

It's just odd to consider this a major bowl game.

Yeah there are so many bowls pitting ranked teams, I'd never call it a major game.

The playoffs make this game an afterthought .
That would probably still be true even if it had a match up of higher ranked teams.

I see your SE bias is showing.

This is a great bowl game - one of the top matchups this year.

I don't know....

Had this been like 12-0 Boise State vs 11-2 USC this would have been an exciting match up.

For me, Arizona still has a MWC sort of feel to it and they are playing a small school in the MWC.

That's what just makes this game seem undesirable to me.

I even think I would rather watch Marshall vs NIU tbh.

LOL, how old are you?

If you are in your 60s or 70s, then maybe you watched Arizona compete in the WAC and maybe you might remember them having wild shootouts with BYU back in the day. But if you're any younger than that, Arizona has been in the Pac-10/12 your entire adult life, and if you're 36 or younger, they've been in the Pac-10/12 since before you were born.

Arizona has been in the Pacific 10/12 for 35 years...

If anything, bowl games with Mississippi teams seem bush-league

No, the top ten ranked Mississippi teams are playing in relevant bowls against quality opponents, which is hardly bush league. Your biases are very telling. By the way, who are the mighty Illini playing?

LOL - I actually think both Mississippi school games will be good, but if Arizona is bush league because they don't have a long history of top level football, so are Ole Miss and MSU :)

Illinois is playing Karl Malone U in the ultra-prestigious Zaxby's Ebola-free Heart of Dallas Bowl

I'm sorry but both Mississippi teams have much better talent than Arizona does. Arizona could beat them because Rich Rod is a great coach but there is nothing bush-league about them.

I think the perspective problem lies in that Arizona hasn't really ever done anything in the PAC 10/12 of note. No Rose Bowls.

To be fair, GT was in the Orange Bowl a few years back.

But your point stands.

Just look at the orange bowl every other year. Thats the one "odd" one. The Grand total of $5.25 you can get a seat to see Miss St vs G Tech

The fact the Orange bowl is a major bowl is laughable.
