An article on how some B1G teams have been upset. UofM, Purdue, and Nebraska all upset recently.

MSU is on upset alert. :)

MSU is fairly dismissive of EMU with the "I don't want to be that guy" comment.

Considering EMU is 53 in the RPI and MSU is 50, MSU might not have a say in the matter.

Fame (15 minutes) can be fleeting...

N.J.I.T lost to Holy Cross yesterday.

I really don’t understand why anyone read those UM boards. What else did you expect to read?

MSU fans won’t be any better. EMU is looked down by everyone in the Big Ten and many in the MAC. The porous football program has harmed EMU’s image overall. It’s stupid and illogical, but this is the case.

EMU’s image won’t improve until basketball makes another tourney run or the football dissolves/makes a bowl. Right now it’s a festering public relations open wound.

Agree and NJIT beating U-M doesn't help. We're getting lumped in with them. NJIT is nothing like EMU, we'd kill them.

EMU football casts a large dark shadow. The losing is becoming historic and it is irreversible.

I checked the m forum because history has shown that the m fans have a tendency to deny or forget any downside to the sports programs. (As you know EMU fans do not) . I was curious to see if there was any semblance of reality on their forum. I saw that they're still living in that mystic wonderland. In about nine pages of their forum only one commented that EMU has the better team (that day). Approximately one half of the posters said that bb didn't really didn't matter as a sport. The other half proudly professed that they were a football school and pined for the arrival of Harbough (?) as their savior. Will reality ever be allowed a place in Ann Arbor?

I should go to the UofM forum and chastise their team for hurting the reputation of Midwest hoops. Lol.

UM has many forums. Which one did you visit?

I see similar posts on here after EMU losses. Their fans. They act irrational as many fans do.

Here is the one I saw: http://mgoblog/mgoboard/michigan-vs-emu-open-thread. Forgive me for not providing the link. I am not that conversant with pc processes. But I would guess that most of the m comments would have a strong resemblance to each other. At least that has been my experience over many, many years.

I expect a competitive game. Part of their attitude may come from what they did to us in football this past season. but EMU in basketball is a totally different matter-fortunately. Looking forward to seeing EMU in person at MSU.
