The University made the official announcement at halftime of tonights Men's Basketball game. They still don't know their opponent. The possibilities are either Rice, Utah St, Nevada, or San diego St,

I doubt if it will be San Diego St since they won the West division of the MWC. I think they could probably add Fresno St (6-6) to that list.

The bad thing is the game starts at 10am CST. The first game on the first day. Last year it was nice because it was the last game on the first day but the Camellia Bowl has that time slot. Two SBC games will be over on the first day.

The good thing will be that by 12/21 the conference will be 2-0.!

It looks like all the MWC schools have petitioned to stay west of the Rockies if possible.

From a source, it won't be Fresno State because they have requested to play a bowl in the west if they do not win the MWC. They will not be playing in the NO Bowl.

If it's a mountain west team, it will be Fresno, they will be last on the picking order because of record, unless they beat Boise, but the mountain west doesn't want to play in NOLA because they won't travel well so they are vacating, and Rice will take their spot. If I was a betting man, I'd put $100 on it right now.

I'm sure Vegas has a line on it. That's not how bowl "pecking" orders work. Fresno has made it pretty clear they don't want to travel to Nola. We have former coaches here that have coached with guys currently on nevadas staff. Nothing is set, still some games to be played. Really anything can happen. I promise you it's not MWC=Fresno in Nola.

I know it won't be fresno because MWC will vacate and it will be Lafayette vs Rice.
