It's not about wins... In 2007, Troy got left out despite an 8-4 record and a quality win over Oklahoma State on national tv. I fully blame Colt Brennan and Hawaii for beating Washington which got them into a BCS bowl.. I still hate Colt Brennan to this date!!

Personally I think that is is Total BS that stAte got picked over us. We beat them and finished strong. They lost and limped to the finish... With that said stAte fans are showing total class with their push on social media to support us.

If anyone wants to know why we'd entertain an offer to another conference (CUSA - RIP UAB), this would be it.. I'm fine with being away from our G5 Texas bretheren because we can schedule OOC games - but another bowl further west would be nice to show commitment to the teams out here

The systematic problem you have is Tickets Sold. Texas State has never traveled to a bowl before, Arkansas State has.

We've lost many bowls in our time because no one was sure we would travel. We had to finally win the league to prove our fans will travel. Bowls are about making money, they don't give two licks who won the head to head matchup in the regular season.

I love how you make these grandiose claims when you've been told over and over that there are at least a couple schools who would likely decline an invite. The thing is,. those teams aren't getting phone calls anyway.

CDOA is a dumpster fire. FAU, FIU, UTEP, ODU (FCS team), Rice real huuuuuge draws there. UNC-Charlote smells like UAB all over again. USM is being out-recruited and overtaken by USA. Once new round of bowl contracts is up, things will change. I like our bowl line-up, with one more should be nice. Quite frankly, if your team finishes 6-6, you don't deserve a special slot in the Super 8 Bowl in Albany, GA. I like our regional footprint too. WTF Wants to travel to Huntingdon, WV in December? Or end your season in El Paso?

I want to extend my best wishes to all the Teams representing the conference in their upcoming bowls. All the best to each of you. I don't like the situation TX ST is now in, but it is what it is, and there's really nothing we can do about it. Hope an At Large becomes an early Christmas present.

In spite of the cheap shots being taken by a few classless fans I wish all the teams going bowling the best. I'll be pulling for you and hoping you show them what the Sun Belt is capable of. Bring us back a win!!

This is just a bad situation for TxSt and I don't see it getting better conference wise unless they win it. This year you had the two old salt bowl eligible with proven travel and the two first time eligible with the motivated fan base for one spot well they didn't roll the dice because USA was closer for the travel to a first year bowl. Next year is even worst. If the two old salt are eligible they will be invited somewhere because they will travel. USA will make or break there chance with there bowl attendance this year. We will have two excited fan base if both (GSU and App St) are eligible for there first bowl. Providing ULM or TxSt don't win the conference that could leave them out. The wild card is troy because they are an Alabama school and did travel decent in their glory years. NMSU and Idaho just be glad to be in a conference. GaSt attendance speaks for itself. I know bowls are for the fans and I love our strangle hold on the NOB nor am I worried about not getting a NOB bid because someone would give us a shot to see if we could bring the fans to say Mobile. But it isn't fair to the young men who sacrifice every weekend only to be told your school is too far from our bowl game sorry.

Beat of luck to the SBC Bowl teams. You guys can make up for a lot of lousy SBelt OOC losses with 3 big wins in the bowls. Go kick some azz!
