Might I suggest that the UAB family not spend there dollars with companies that sponsor or in any way affiliated with the Tuscaloosa campus. And, in the process kindly let businesses know that you cannot support companies that support an institution that causes harm to student athletes.

I think it would be wise to listen to some of your fellow Blazers and not make this a UA vs UAB thing. This is between the corrupt BOT, their puppet hierarchy, and UAB.

Maybe a billboard with the worst offenders business names asking people to boycott?

Just don't donate to the Campaign For UAB until Watts shows that he is campaigning for UAB.

I agree completely. It really isnt about UAB vs UA.. it's the BOT who are short-changing UAB and UAH compared to UA.. UA has nothing to do with it, in the grand scheme of things, other than being the favored child.

If anything, this crisis has created somewhat of a Blazertalk homecoming. First 58-56, then Stlouis Blazer and now here is bigpoppa blazer back.

The BOT understands that their actions will not be popular with UAB and do not care. If a few of the favored children start losing money, they will care.

Sorry I have twins in college and a son in grad school.the bad news is multiple jobs. Oddly, I have been able to attend more games, I just have to sleep during what used to be my "me time."

Listen to the Lion. Real UA grads, the ones with degrees, are with us. We don't need to drive away Allies when we are so badly outgunned.

Now Bryant Bank, Greene Track and the Civil War Preservation Trust? It's open season.

Hey guys, I was unable to rest my password, so i had to get a new username (old one was fan4uab).

To this point, we do not want to hurt any of our students or the UA students in this mess. We do want to get the attention of the BOT. The only way is the hit them is in the pocketbook. If you or your company has any business dealings with any of the companies or firms that the members of the BOT are affiliated with, then I would consider divesting , firing them for services or move my/your business elsewhere.

BTW, John D, Johns is CEO of Protective Life, on the UA system board and co-chairman of the "Campaign for UAB". Where is he in all of this?

Yep. We have had a lot of former Alabama football players back us. I know a bunch of graduates who are indifferent at worst towards our football program. Attacking these people will get us nowhere.
