I thought about this last week. Executive experience, background in college athletics, highly respected, and bleeds green and gold. Perfectly qualified.

Count me in! No time for illegitimate excuses! I'll be there! I'm so (bleeping) right now. After a triumphant and enjoyable road trip to Hattieburg and back, watching my very first ever UAB Football road game in person, for this to go down is just absolutely reprehensible!

I would push for Marla as AD, but the other options would be ok as well.

Just thinking that Walt couldn't do both right now & we need someone to keep Tuscaloosa in check.

Yes.

EJ has plenty of experience dealing with Tuscaloosa nonsense from his position in Huntsville.

After the victory, will Bill have enough time to run the whole department as well? Can't we simply get someone who is capable and willing?

Walt has his gubernatorial campaign coming up. Don't think he would be interested. Joe Dean @ Birmingham-Southern has excellent credentials as well as a network of contacts that could help in scheduling.

All this plus Great relationships with city of Birmingham and Tuscaloosa. Well thought if politically. Might be a great idea of we can save our program.

Walt has bigger fish to fry. Marla would be my choice and I think would be Gene's choice if he were around to see what has happened lately.

Having Walt Maddox as Governor would be a wet dream; let's just see what HE would do once he actually gets a hold of the Board of Trustees!

But that's 2019 at the earliest. What a Cinderella story that would be if we somehow came back from a 4-year shutdown hiatus at that point and won 5 that year, just like we did in 2009!

Sadly, it does appear dark times may be ahead in the meantime.
