Fields May Be Closed - Parking for Liberty
Just got off the phone with someone at the ticket office. She said they might close the fields (Godwin, Hanson) for parking tomorrow. They haven't decided yet.

I really hope they don't close them. But if they do, can some one remind me what the Plan B is? Where do they send the Hanson and Godwin parkers if it rains, and what are the tailgating/space limitations?

I've been parking at Hanson for years, and I've never had this happen. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks all.

If they do, it'll be due to soggy field from the melting snow. Which in that case, in the past, has been to park you on Hillside lots.

RE: Fields May Be Closed - Parking for Liberty
We just sent this email out to field parkers.

Thanks to our dedicated Facilities Management Crew, Godwin and Hanson Field have both been cleared of snow and will be available for your use tomorrow. Because of the amount of moisture, areas of the field are soft but not too muddy to eliminate parking - please keep in mind as you plan for tomorrow’s game. If you would rather park in a paved lot, we have a limited amount of reserved parking in G-Lot, P-Lot and the Deck, and requests to move will be accommodated on a first come basis. If you would like to move to a paved lot please RSVP to this email or give us a call at 540-568-3853, otherwise enjoy your Field Parking tomorrow. All other stadium operations will function as normal. We are open at the Convocation Center Ticket Office today through 6 p.m. and tomorrow 8 a.m. until noon.

Remember to wear black to #BlackOutBridgeforth and support the Dukes.

Let us know if you have any questions and Go Dukes!!

Great to hear! I don't park in either field, but I love seeing Godwin full on Gameday. Go Dukes!

I misspoke (typed?). Not rain, but they might close the fields due to the fields being waterlogged from the snow they got Wednesday.

Does anyone know the cost of the gameday shuttles? Can't find it on the website.

I believe they're always free.

You are correct, free.

Knucklehead, I do recommend R-2 Lot, you are close enough, you'll need no shuttle. Frankly, I believe all lots except D-2 and D-8 are easy walks unless assistance is necessary.

Thanks. I'll try r2. Does it fill up quickly?

You should be fine, but the earlier you get in there the better position you will put your car in order to get out.

You'll be fine. This is far from a sellout, and all the students are gone. Easy as cake.

Dudley said during the Women's game all parking will be open tomorrow - so the field should be open.
