RE: 2015 Tribe Football
What about Mosley? When are we gonna make use of his "gifted arm and athleticism"? Is there a chance we see him at WR if Cluley is our longterm starter?

I really hope Mosley stays healthy and competes for QB job. You don't see a Michael Vick type arm at I-AA level too often although arm strength isn't everything.

I am sure he has a strong arm, but the Vick thing has to be in reference to the release and not the pure velocity.

RE: 2015 Tribe Football
With all due respect, Mosley has yet to take a live snap, and was on crutches still at year end. He looks to have super potential, but is really a huge unknown. I am more concerned with replacing two star wideouts and getting the defense back into form. We need lots of guys to fill in on the DL, and we need DB's. Couplin & Tagoe had some size, so we need to develop some physical guys back there. Goodwyn has that size, and was very highly touted. Hopefully, he can be in the mix next year.

2015 is going to be a great year. Construction on Zable will be delayed by 3 playoff weekends after Thanksgiving in 2015. Book it.

Schedule is out:

Interesting to have 3 straight home games.
Edit: Just noticed our bye is after week 1. I guess it will be good to shake the rust off and have two weeks to prep for UVa, but would like a break in the middle of the conference schedule...

So do we just never get to play Rhode Island? How is it that we constantly miss out on the worst teams?

I wish Hampton was week 2 and we had a mid year bye. Make JMU homecoming.
Still, I can see the benefit of having a bye heading into UVA. Any idea why we don't add on a twelfth game the week before Lafayette?

We get Elon. It's the same conference slate as last year but home/road were flipped

Alternating games with Albany & Stony Brook and also with Rhode Island and New Hampshire on our schedule wouldn't hurt a thing. Don't miss going to Orono however...

RE: 2015 Tribe Football
Interresting schedule with the open date after the first game then ten straight weeks of football. No trips to New England but bus rides to the Philly area and takes longer than a plane ride to URI UNH or Maine..
One thing that struck me is this just may be the earliest I can ever remember seeing The Tribe's football schedule released. We will just sit back now a wait and see what will be TV games for the start times .

Is next season a year where you're allowed to have 12 games? Because if so I'm surprised we aren't doing that

Hope we win some of those road games early on - otherwise there will be a lot of empty seats in Zable.

RE: 2015 Tribe Football
With all of the conference shifting we have the same opponents for two years straight. We should get some rotation next year.
Next year is an 11 game year. Most years are, we just happened to have consecutive years where there were enough Saturdays that allow a 12 game schedule.

Interesting that, depending on kickoff time, all of the away games could be day trips for fans in Williamsburg.

At Lafayette would be one hell of a day trip

Heh, I admit to not really knowing my geography well and just thinking "PA isn't far".
Looks like a 5ish hour trip. That would be a long day trip for certain, but I've done it for Blacksburg before .

No way it's five hours. I'm from that area (Bethlehem, PA, about 10 minutes from Lafayette) and it's 6 if you have almost no traffic. But, the best routes requires you to pass through Richmond, DC, and Harrisburg/Philly, so that's not happening. Usually takes closer to 7 I'd say, and it's taken up to 11 hours when 95 gets backed up.
It's a doable weekend trip, and the whole area is very nice (Especially downtown Bethlehem), but I wouldn't reccomend making it a day trip.

Playing JMU at home other than Homecoming packs the stadium a second Saturday in addition to HC with Hampton.
