RE: WOW
GO BLAZERS!!! Who knows... Perhaps this may turn into the truly galvanizing event that brings a real surge in UAB fans; one that carries over to propel us into regular attendance averaging 30+ K per home game.

Sometimes it takes a common enemy to forge a group and its identity.

RE: WOW - City Council Meeting Today
The best way to say thanks is get out to Legion Field on Saturday and get a place on the bus for the trip to Southern Miss next week. If you can't make both, get to one of the next two games. If you can't do that, talk up UAB and see if you can get someone to go to the Marshall game. That is the best way to say "Thanks".

Absolutely a great thing that happen at the City Council Meeting. On the flip side, it's a damn shame that it has gotten to this point.

RE: WOW - City Council Meeting Today
From a fan of a school who once lost their team and then had to fight like hell to keep their program from being eliminated all together, I deeply applaud your every effort to fight for your program!! I can't help but feel that your efforts will pay off big time with not only with the football programming surviving, but flourishing with a rejuvenated fan base and a new financial and structural investments in the UAB Football program. There are countless states that have large Universities less then 50 miles apart from each other that thrive both academically and athletically. I use to go to Birmingham on business about twice a month and it was without a doubt one of favorites!! Great restaurants, great music scene and best of all great people! Not to mention Conference USA... NEEDS a strong UAB!!

RE: WOW - City Council Meeting Today
Thanks, Herd in ATL!

The meeting today was awesome. The outpouring was awesome, and the players were awesome (well-behaved and classy). Tim Alexander hit the right nerve talking about what the program and his team mates had done for him. The guys all pitched in to buy Tim's new wheel-chair! They truly represent us well and really show the UAB Family attitude.

I am very proud. We MUST win this issue!
