The pending abolition of the football program would be the top topic on every FBS message board in the country. We're just about the only program that's had to face that in the Internet age.

UAB's president could put all this to rest with one public statement.

Nowhere has it been stated officially that our program is even in the balance. Now if he said that it was being considered, and then refused to elaborate you'd have cause for concern and perhaps this uproar.

But this is all because some people have decided they feel threatened, that they decided they want an answer, and they decided they want an answer when they want it... immediately!

The world doesn't work on your schedule all the time. You moms should have told you people this when you were very young.

Coach said it was a distraction after I already identified it as such. And now here we are with football players sitting in the city council instead of practicing on the field.

Maybe he's a Buddhist and doesn't realize we as Blazer fans already know the first lessons on "life is suffering".

There remains two simple things that could quickly resolve this dilemma - announce an extension of FBHC Clark's contract (with a well deserved raise) &/or an announcement of OOC games scheduled for 2017, 18 & 19 (when UAB will be 50 years old).

So far I have not heard from the administration on either.
