Odds makers not too crazy about the Hawks' chances tonight.

I think the 13.5 point spread is reasonable, given our past history and our short bench. How UNCW does vs that spread (up to and including winning) should tell us a lot about where we stand at the moment.

Not sure, they only beat Mt. Olive by 15. I have to believe we are quite a bit better than Mt. Olive. Also, looking at their roster, they don't have the huge front court we are used to seeing at ODU. They beat Mt. Olive by dominating the boards. They won't be able to do that against us.

I think we keep it under 10 if we lose. Also, we are basically starting 5 seniors on this squad. That makes a difference.

Don't get me wrong...I'm just saying if you are an outsider laying odds, you wouldn't assume that the 5 upperclass starters (who were all on our 20 loss team of last year) would perform any better than 13 point underdogs.

I actually think, as I'm sure you do, that these guys under-performed in Peterson's system. I think that if we can hit some shots and play good defense, there's no reason why we can't beat ODU.
