According to the ESPN boxscore, the official attendance for LA Tech's 59-10 smack down today of CUSA East member WKU was 20,011. For those counting at home, LA Tech is now undefeated in CUSA play in 2014, with a 5-0 record.

Crap. We will never get into CUSA now.

Being that Tech is in a town of 22,000; I think we do pretty damn well. Sorry we aren't tucked away in Houston.

Today, the weather was perfect for an afternoon game, it was homecoming, they are winning, they played a league game, and they are in contention for the championship. Tv scan of the crowd showed no more than 2/3 full, if that, or about 16,000 to 17,000. I have not seen an announced attendance but those are meaningless.

Tech was at the Rock at USM last week, closest league rival. In contention, perfect weather, afternoon game, a team that in their mind is a rival, and about 750 of their fans showed up. That was their "travel" crowd. Their fans who show up in Houston, Dallas, etc are mostly residents of those areas.

Those are baselines now so lets see what it takes to rise from there.

When talking about our attendance last week I only stated it is difficult to make an educated visual estimate of our USM crowd sizes due to the sideline club seats, the end zone suites, the end zone common area under the suites, the canopy and standing room area atop the south end zone, and the enclosed seating in our north end zone facility. You cant see through glass. The Tech stadium is wide open, no enclosed area except press box and the "skybox" so anyone who qualifies for a drivers license can estimate the attendance. And, why do you think my post attacked Tech? I made absolutely no critical remark.

Would you mind telling me what I said that you think is untrue? The only estimates I made were related to attendance, I made my estimate from watching tv scan the crowd thus anyone else who watched can form their own conclusions on that. Its amazing, appears Tech followers think they were attacked by the tv cameras I guess.
