If you are going to smack talk with 60s TV references, at least get it right. The Beverly Hillbillies were from Arkansas. Feel free to try again with a Gomer, Goober, Ernest T Bass, or Barney Fife joke, if you like.

FIFY

Actually I believe they are from Missouri. But I don't have time to differentiate between Ozark mountain folk and Appalachian ones

I have an idea of what you mean. It's almost like differentiating between commuter students from Charlotte and ones from Atlanta.

Alright, I'm pulling for App. First reason is for respect. App has a history. Second, you Ga State folks let this thread go 7 pages with no Deliverance jokes? For shame, Panthers, for shame.

Just your quarterly reminder that Deliverance was filmed in Georgia, and the plot based in Georgia.

Difference being that land is now a lake with high-dollar real estate all around it (progress).

Meanwhile, the NC Mountains are still where terrorists go to hide out and be sheltered.

GaSouth fans already making the rounds on our sites, gotta love that.

I'm hoping for cold conditions, and similar results to the GaSouth game for FGSU. It looks like our rushing attack has found it's groove (441 yards rushing at Troy) and our young team has a bolt of confidence.

Regarding GSU. Found this yesterday - a class ring from 1986....5 years before copy-cat GS became a "U":

No no PV, we should have immediately bequeathed them our acronym in 1992. LOL. I have had old timers tell me that they had GSU ball caps in the early 1970's.

Or moved out at 18. Moved into the city. Worked 50 hours a week to put himself through college. But you are probably right. Again. I would hate for the experiences of someone who actually went to the school to get in the way of your stereotype.

Logic left the discussion here awhile back, because the NC mountains only hold terrorists and whatnot.

Whoever wins the battle of GSU's gets to be the RGSU. You guys got bludgeoned into FGSU for this year and will likely have that happen on a yearly basis. Wear it with pride, for the foreseeable future, oh wait I guess 2015 is your "year".
