He "got away" with a bunch, but the zebras finally took their blinders off and nabbed him. The two best teams in the conference? I think not.

UL-L is a beatable team, even on the road. Brandon Bridge should have a field day with their defense.

The guy with a 51 percent completion percentage?

His low 51% completion rate is largely due to his receivers rate of dropped passes. Will be interesting to see what happens when South AL visits the swamp.

I will say though that he throws every pass like a 100mph fastball. He needs to learn some touch and help his receivers out.

Really I should ask this about both teams, ULL isn't that much better on run defense. They just didn't allow the TDs.

We're lost...We were #35 in the country in run defense coming in and had shut down the ground games of Tennessee and Miami.

No idea what happened first half.

I still don't understand why it worked for ULL. We stacked the box, and they still got yards. Poor tackling was the primary reason, but what did they do differently, that TN and Miami couldn't do?

The Cajun offensive line is big and have been playing together for 4 yrs.. we lost our center from last yr.

Not if our offense keeps yours off the field.

Yes, that's possible, but I can not see that happening. Jones should out-coach Hudspeth again.

With all due respect, I don't see how anyone can extrapolate anything meaningful from last year's S. Alabama/Cajun game to this year's.

I mostly agree. The only thing to be extrapolated is we have the talent to hang with anyone when we're on our game. Dominating an opponent with a backup qb is what you'd expect from teams otherwise relatively equal . Other than that, we don't know. Hell, we can't extrapolate anything from this years games. Ull has close game with gsu, state blows out gsu, ull almost blows out state. Crazy conference.

Of course I meant that the Cajun team you played last year had just been turned upside down and inside-out emotionally with the loss of Broadway due to a broken throwing arm. Things should be much more 'normal' this year and even if you faced Haack again at quarterback, I'm sure it would be a tougher game.

Here's to a well-played and injury-free game.04-cheers

Sadly once again, the Squawking Squaws couldn't get the job done so they will have to pray someone else gets it done for them.

There were a few calls that also kept it closer than it should have been. Not only was long td run a weird at to begin with when everyone thought Gordon was down but their were 12 men on the field for stAte. I think that kind of gave them a boost at the right time. After watching the game again but on tv, I guess it's their job but the announcers made the game feel a lot closer than it was. I was there in person and I never thought it was close or in doubt. I guess it's just different when you don't have someone talking who's job it is to get you to not change the channel. It was much different in person.

When Brandon "Who" is on his game and his receivers start catching his passes, it will make for a long night for the UL-Lafayette group.

We shall see Jag, I don't think the Cajuns are over the butt kicking they received from Southern Alabama last season.

remember the last time you played a power running team and what we do in the passing game is different than what they do but it should be the same results.

We held them to one of their lowest yardages all season?

Defense wasn't an issue nor was TOP. Just couldnt complete a pass worth a damn.

Yes, I get it, and I'm sure UL-Lafayette will be tough to beat in the bayou country, but it can happen.
