We won't win anymore... From what I hear, a lot of behind the scene things are happening with the team. And it's not good.

Look for Troy to tear off a winning streak the coming weeks.

Right now, I'm more concerned about recruits more so than wins. Yes, I know they're both tied together.

Just didn't think id EVER see TROY in this position. We've been a good program for so long, the last time I remember it being like this was when we jumped up to Div I.

I think Troy really has to knock this hire out of the park, the biggest selling point for Troy has to be their tradition and Larry Blakeney, they're about to lose one and the other is suffering in a big way, a miss on the hire could set Troy back in a big way.

I agree with you absolutely positively 100%. This coach must be well known, we'll respected, well established, we'll everything!!

I also believe that relative youth (35-45) needs to be considered. I think if we bring a guy who's well into his 50's, that'll be bad on the recruiting trial.

Troy is at a crossroads for sure. The wrong hire here will make USM's fiasco look like good ol days.

I understand the old adage, but doesn't change the fact that Troy has already watched Louisiana and Arkansas State take the conference from them, South Alabama now up to speed in their neighborhood and taking their recruits and now two programs with a lot of upside in Georgia Southern and App State coming in, Troy needs to turn things around quickly or the climb back to the top is just going to get tougher and tougher.

What advantages does Troy have again on the rest of the league?

Winning tradition in football, dating back to the Div II days. But, I wouldn't say that other SBC teams can't make that exact same claim.

That's what I'm saying, tiny enrollment, small budget, remote town. Larry Blakeney was one of their biggest advantages.

Always thought Troy's biggest asset was their fans.
Blakeney will be the gold standard that some will hold any
new coach up to.

RE: Worst home loss since 1961
- Nice small but beautiful and continuing to grow fast campus.

- End zone enclosure project to begin in 2015, with new player HQ, meeting rooms, offices, theater, suites, seating, second video board, etc.

- Super friendly campus and people.

- Close to relatively major cities (Montgomery and Dothan) and Florida. Florida recruits are a drive from home.

- Good weather and excellent housing.

- Nice stadium (could use chair-back seats for all), great gameday activities, best band in the country, etc.

- Most other sports facilities lead or are at the top of what the conference offers.

- Positioned to explode with great fan support, with the right coach and assistants (must pay them well).
