BT I hope you are100% correct and I will acknowledge and congratulate this happening when it takes place. A strong run in The CAA tends to bring to voice in many fans.

I'll be fortunate to attend the next 2 games. Unfortunately, I missed Saturday, but could definitely hear the crowd noise at times on the Tribe TV feed. It looked like our biggest crowd of the year to date and appeared to help fire up the team. I dread the trip to Harrisonburg to our personal house of horrors but feel as though it might be the last one. The 2012 game represented the best and worst of Raphael Ortiz. He played great but got hurt in the game.

Normally at halftime of a Homecoming game half of the crowd reunites outside Zable and the students just go where they go never to return, but not so much saturday. Plus, it has been awhile since I have heard the old ball yard that loud and most of the westsiders stood up ! We had some atmosphere
With the early start time this saturday we pretty much know the student section will be full of empty rows of seats and the rest of the crowd will go back under the cone of silence.

As a member of the "Westside Fan Assoc" I can report to youall that the reason we were standing up and cheering was because, finally, for the first time in years, the Tribe played some exciting football for extended periods during the game - also it wasn't raining.

Just watched the game recap and was reminded of a great hustle play by Cluley. When Abdul-Saboor fumbled close to the goal line Cluley was one of the first to try and make a tackle. He whiffed, but got back up and ultimately made the tackle to bring down the Villanova ball carrier. It's great to see your QB hustle like that, but you also hold your breath hoping he doesn't injure himself on a play like that.

From last night's QB Club meeting ....the players liked The Big Green look and did not know until pregame meal they were going to wear them and how much the team heard the enthusiasm from the stands .

Sorry to hear about Jerome Couplin being dropped by the Lions. Hope his agent can get him in a team's Practice Squad.

I really liked the Big Green look, and I hope they use it more. I really hope there's a good turnout this Saturday despite the 12:30 kick time. Those who are there need to get loud to keep up the enthusiasm.

After a few days to reflect, there is so much positive to take out of this game, despite not being able to bring it home. We all know the handful of plays that cost the game, but not fair to the players to have that completely overshadow an otherwise gutsy performance.

The team collectively rebounded from an embarrassing loss and played hard and with emotion.
Cluley had his best game and put most his throws right on the money.
The pass rush generated good pressure for most of the night.
OL had their best performance of the year, despite playing the 4th, 5th, and 6th options at guard. Great young depth here.
Defense tackled well.
Andrew Caskin, true freshmen TE, is now our starter and holding his own out there.
The offense found its mojo and expanded the playbook.

Hopefully this loss doesn't ultimately keep us from the playoffs and we can bring that level of play (minus the few miscues) the rest of the way.
Very entertaining game, great effort, and disappointing loss that at least made me believe this team can achieve its potential.

Nova QB, John Robertson, won the 2014 Walter Payton Award.

That is great. Very deserving. Too bad he missed his last game.
