Figured I would follow suit with the other similar threads, but in a slightly different direction. Ga State still looking for its first win over an FBS team and first conference win in the Sun Belt. Which team is the poor sucker that let's that happen?

Losing headscratchers is the Bobcat way.

The way I see it going down... Bobcats come down the stretch with a Bowlbid on the line. All we have to do is beat a Georgia State and we're in. Cats fly to Atlanta and commandingly take the lead going into half time. Fans are excited and we begin planning for the bowl game. Only, the team comes out for the second half and plays SUPER conservative. We don't score any more points and GA ST blows us out.

Cats go home with the Loss and no bowl.

Any of these are legit possibilities in their own way. Don't know who it will be but the panthers will score their first FBS win this year.

GaSt has played everyone pretty tough this year and eventually the ball will bounce their way. I just hope it's not against App State.

If history (2011) is any indicator it could be GS

I'm gonna have to go with Troy, but I'll wait and see what happens this weekend. Either team morale is gonna go up to rally around the retiring coach, or it will be down in the dumps. Southern gets the BYE next week and will get to recover from any dings suffered in the first half of the season. They will come out rested and Fritz will have them prepared. It may be a close game, but Southern wins.

Game in a domed season we had no business being in against team we hate but we both agree we are not (are?) rivals? Yep. 04-cheers

South Alabama weren't exactly world beaters that year either though. So not a big surprise ya'll won that game.

I voted for Troy, based on the season they are having.

GaState is the best 1 win team in the country. They have a legit passing attack and could win multiple games on the back half of this season. I just hope GS isn't one of them. I think our game vs them comes down to getting a pass rush on Arbuckle.

Perhaps you missed the parts of that year where we lost to St. Francis and West Alabama. In hindsight at least, it's a surprise.

EDIT: BTW, I voted stAte cuz this week. Don't ask a believer to go about these polls rationally.

So?

that team beat powerhouses like West Alabama, Lamar, Henderson State, and Mississippi Valley State. Not saying USA was bad that year, but they didn't really beat anybody that was good either.

Sure, you guys weren't having a good season, but on paper, you guys were definitely underdogs, but it wasn't like you guys were playing UGA.

We are not here to revise history. And my assertion at least has a 2% science component compared to the ouigia board methodology being employed around here.

On a random note we are 11-4 against the spread the past 2 years. You could build a house betting on GSU.

Can we add an option for Missouri St? I'm thinking they could be the 12th team soon.
