No worries Barkers or Hanky. Hadn't consider that option/point of view.

At this point Brady has to be on a short leash right -- although would the admin buy out his contract?

I am wondering if JMU would need to buy him out.....I wonder if there are clauses in his contract with regards to transfers/suspensions/etc.....that he could be terminated for cause for lack of institutional control of the program. I also seem to recall that the NCAA grade/scores or whatever it is called is not that far above the cut line.

Not that I am calling for this just curious.

I don't know what's in his contract but I think that would be tough to prove- many college coaches have kids that transfer and that need to be supended but that's the kids doing really (even though you could argue a more disciplined coach may make a difference there) - coaches get fired without buyouts when they do something - recruiting violations, abuse of players, etc.

Regarding Nation- I am an admitted JMU apologist and sympathizer but you have to wonder how different the narrative would have been if Nation hadn't been suspended before for grades/schoolwork and supposedly for marijuana. Standing up to the biggest player on the team who we find out likes to start fights isn't the worst trait for one of your better players on the court to have. That said I get that he's a representative of JMU needs to be mature and conduct himself a lot better especially given his prior transgressions but it would be important to know more of the circumstances involved in the altercation- self defense, alcohol fueled, who started it, what was said, etc.

A while back somebody posted Brady's contract on here so it's out there somewhere but I can't find it.

FWIW...
It is highly likely that Vodonovich will drop the assault charges against Nation unless the medical charges are high enough and insurance is poor enough that real money is a factor.

Ultimately it is likely that they will both go through the legal system only for the disorderly charges but it is also possible that these charges may be dropped/dismissed as well.

The Commonwealth can still prosecute even if the victim wants to "drop the charges."

To tell you the truth, I have always been of the mind that if two guys willingly get in a fight, the guy who wins shouldn't be penalized for winning. That's kind of the whole point.

Victim never files charges , the officer who was on scene got the warrant/summons. So its still up to the CWA. I know there are a couple mutual combats states in the United States.

Key clauses:

1. He can be terminated for an APR violation.
2. The buyout for year #4 is minimal, so the contract can be terminated after this season for 1 year salary plus pocket change.

Is any sum "minimal" for our admin?
