You're all about 80's kitchenware. That's NOT a bad thing. I've gotten to the point where I just use my 12 cup maker for tea because coffee tastes so much better out of a drip pot. Just a little ol aluminum 6 cup capacity drip pot. That's what they used before electric coffee makers and after percolators. I THINK.

Broken down, you have the main pot, the aluminum dripper which can act as the filter, and the top where you pour the boiling water in.

What is going wrong with the K-cup machine? If you open the lid and look at the top, you'll see 3 metal needles that go down. Those needles are hollow and get clogged with coffee about every 6 months or so, causing the machine to be inoperable. All you have to do is, get a needle, or bobby pin and clear them out and it is fixed.

^ I'll try that tonight...pump sounds like its trying too hard, and no coffee comes out...but when I open the top, it all flows out.

I'm almost 100% sure that's your problem then. I, however, have gone through three Keurigs in 2 years. Pumps on every one of them went out. I took the Platinum one I had apart and cleaned out everything while watching a 3 hour Youtube video (in 6 parts) that went step by step with it. The discharge pump was tits up.

Also Memphis, you can run a few cups of water through it. I have one that gives me about half a cup but when I run water through it (without a K-cup inserted) I can see grounds in the water.
