it's funny. I honestly consider myself a liberal for the same reasons conservatives consider themselves conservative. That's what happens when you were born in the early 90s and have grown up in the era of the patriot act, gay marriage, abortion TRAP, tax cuts for the rich, etc.

It's in your DNA, John. Regardless of your experiences. You may hold on to some of your liberal views, but you will become more conservative as you begin to get in touch with the fact you have limited time. As you lose your security blankets IE your parents, your work becomes more important. Your survival begins to fall solely on your shoulders. If you bring other lives into this world that increases exponentially. You won't want your kids around all the garbage you advocate today.

When I was your age, I had someone tell me this and I scoffed at them too.

Each generation takes a little longer to grow up. That's the reason the drinking age was changed, that's the reason the driving age has changed. I My sister could buy beer about 6 months into her 18th year, and I had my license when I was 14. I think you have to be 16 now, for just a permit.

They don't get married, their birthrates are at historic lows and their workforce participation is under 70%. It is easy to be a lefty when you don't take ownership or responsibilities.
