RE: Other Games of Interest
Jacksonville St needs to hold on, or there goes an autobid to E. Illinois. As I typed, they score on defense. Now up 10.

Still need Jacksonville St to hang on. McNeese losing is good.

Idaho State lost to Montana State, hopefully they are out now. Big Sky shouldn't get 4 if we do not. EWU is in, Cal Poly, NAU, Montana, Montana St still hoping to get in. MVFC is hoping for 5 bids. MEAC likely 1 bid now and Southland possbily only 2. If Coastal wins next weekend, Big South likely gets only 1. So, we need the OVC to be wn by Jacksonville St.

This was an amazing day for a 4th CAA team. Now the Tribe just have to get it done against Richmond.

Interesting bit of trivia; the President of Idaho State University, Arthur Vailas, is the father of Andy Vailas the Sr "Back Up" QB at UNH who led New Hampshire to victory over the Tribe a few weeks ago. The Dad, who has a PHD in Chemistry, was an outstanding running back for UNH in his days.

Cal Poly getting whooped right now. I'm starting to wonder if the door is opening for the possibility of UR getting in even if they lost to the Tribe. I don think it goes the other way though, we don't have a win like the one they have over Nova on our resume.

Idaho St only has 5 D-I wins as they won 2 D-II games so are 5-4 in D-I games with 2-9 Weber St coming up.

Though they are the only FCS team with an international win on their resume

RE: Other Games of Interest
The OL was are deepest position coming into the season and we are using every bit of that depth now. By the end of the game we did not have a singe OL that started at VT still in the game. Don't know who will or won't be available next week, but I sure hope we get a couple of OL back for UR. We are basically starting our second string OL at this point. I have no doubt that we have the best 2nd string OL in the CAA and these guys delivered today, but its obviously not where we want to be heading into an another elimination game.
Speaking of injuries, has there been any public disclosure that can be shared on this board regarding Houston-Carson's injury? Swinton and Reed are solid, but it would be nice to have Deandre against a pass-happy UR offense.
Good news, Carpenter seems to have corrected his low kick issues from last week, Bo Revell is back, and we are playing some of our best defense right now with just about everyone healthy.

I'm not sure the blocked kicks were really on Carpenter. OLine just collapsed, I'm not sure he even got one of those kicks off.

Watch the Elon highlight film. First blocked kick barely cleared the OL's helmets and there was no significant penetration from Elon. Second block was equally low, but there was significant penetration that may have allowed the kick to be blocked even if it wasn't a low trajectory. No big deal, as this was not an issue on any of the 3 made FGs today.
