RE: Other Games of Interest
We have a very tough time winning at JMU and their transfer qb from Ga Tech is tough to handle and will put tremendous pressure on our linebackers. He can run and pass. We haven't beaten them there since 2004.

By the way, great to see the great 2004 team honored at the game yesterday marking 10 years
since that squad (it was Greg Kuehn's memorable 43-yard FG as time ran out that gave us that last win at JMU). Very good article in the game program and on the W&M main web page on that
big season and the team.

RE: Other Games of Interest
If we don't beat JMU, we don't deserve to go to the playoffs. We're going to need to score 30+ points to take home the victory but JMU can't stop the run and MAS is just the workhorse to exploit them.

RE: Other Games of Interest
Many predictions have the CAA getting only 3 again this year but we will see. If Villanova beats Richmond this weekend, both NH and Nova will likely go undefeated. Then if jmu, the Tribe, and the spiders all split with each other they would all be 8-4 which would be a mess for the committee. Lots of potential at large teams right now. We need to win out to remove any questions. The defense will have to play very well and create some turnovers to beat JMU.

Other Games of Interest
Richmond's playing with house money after losing their QB and top WR for the year. Their schedule is about to get really tough with games against Nova and JMU and us. The play up at Maine (who has been terrible this year) but if it's a cold day up in Orono it could be a tough one. Very possible they go 1-3 over these last 4 games.

Richmond beat Nova. This could really hurt our playoff chances unless we win out.

Only 38 degrees w 34 windchill in Orono...might have something to do with UR struggling.

Both Richmond and JMU rallying. No real surprise there. Unless Maine and Stony Brook can play excellent 4th quarters, both will lose. But Maine is still playing very well so far.

Richmond loses to Maine, JMU wins over SBU. Not sure how that hurts or helps us. Would have been great if JMU also lost.

Delaware holds of Albany 31-28 who recovered an onside kick with 33 seconds left but was taken away because of a penalty.

At this point if we win out we have a very good chance. We'll likely be the #4 team in the CAA, and I think that gets us in.

My guess is at this point that we need either JMU to lose to UR and Elon, or we need to win out and have JMU beat UR. There is no way the CAA gets 5 bids. Today was not a good day for bubble results. The Big Sky may get 4, and after today, the MVFC has 6 possible playoff teams. I think it is very possible that neither JMU nor the Tribe get in if they finish 8-4. If Richmond beats JMU and we beat them and Towson, all 3 won't go and how would you choose since all would have the same record and the same conference record? In that scenario, the committee might only take Richmond. It probably helps us a little if Delaware splits its final two to finish 7-5.

I think we will benefit from playing Richmond hours before the committee makes a decision. A win will be fresh in their mind.

Nice point, and if it were a major victory say 30-0, that might carry more weight. The big concern right now is the other at large conferences. Northern Iowa is going now if they win out. The MVFC might get 5, and the Big Sky has 6 teams still fighting for a berth. I guess the CAA still has 6 fighting for a berth too(including Delaware). All we can do is to try and win impressively and see. Today was not an impressive win, but at least it was a win. Remember the CAA only got 3 last year, but it more the Tribe and Delaware losing games down the stretch, so maybe this year will be different.

A lot of 4 loss teams across the CAA, Big Sky, and MVC. Will be interesting to follow the last two weeks.

If Richmond loses to JMU next weekend, a possible win against UR will not look as impressive.

Yeah, in this scenario, we definitely need Richmond to win. Better to have a team we still have a chance to beat be victorious, over one we've already lost to.

What this means is we need to win out and UR needs to beat JMU next weekend to make (most likely) a 3 team tie for 3rd in the CAA. If that happens, we'll have beaten UR in the head-to-head but UR will have beaten Nova & JMU. We'd most likely be out with an 8-4 (5-3) record because UR beat the better teams and JMU beat us.

All of this assuming JMU beats Elon.

We'd be in the driver's seat if that lil JMU debacle never happened.

JMU is on a streak. They stole another one from us in H-burg. New coaching seems to have them energized. I do not see them losing to Elon.
Our 4thQ issues with VU and JMU moved us away from the list. Our hope is that JMU beats UR and we can somehow do the same.
This assumes we take out Towson, another road game.
