Starting RB Michael Gordon out for AState vs Miami. Might miss the Utah State game as well, team prefers him fully healthy for league play rather than 50-60 percent for a game at Miami.

RE: Week 3: Sunbelt Prediction Thread
I've got no problem with picking Georgia State to lose, but some of those scores are downright silly. If anything, we've shown that we can score points. Per the AJC, here are our rankings within the SBC through 2 weeks.

Points: 34.5 (4th)
Total offense: 511 (3rd)
Rushing offense: 157.5 (8th)
Passing offense: 353.5 (1st)
Pass efficiency: 139.4 (3rd)
First downs: 28 (1st)
3rd down conversions: 50% (t-3rd)

Our weakness has really been in rushing the ball and it's only so so. I think our offense matches up favorably against AF's defense. I do think y'all are right though, and staying disciplined enough to stop the TO won't really happen.

I guess I can see the angle here, and I applaud the optimism. I think what discounts all of these numbers is the level of competition. AF may not be any good, but they should be much better than the two teams you have played to date.

No they are not. Not saying the Eagles will beat Tech. Based on what I've seen one looks no better than the other. I think the QB for State is better than Thomas for Tech. Just my opinion.

Navy QB Reynolds was injured in last week's game vs Temple. He was not practicing as of yesterday. Back up has been taking snaps with first team. Have to wait and see, I guess.

Tech appears to be much better than NC State to me. You can't really compare qbs in two completely different offenses can you?
