It will be interesting to see who starts vs. S. Miss. Does the rFr. Get his first start, they brought him in extra early tonight to get time with the 1's.

On the espn3 broadcast they said just under 26k. Very impressive considering the weather, the opponent, the start time, and coming off a losing season.

Off topic, but what the hell is that symbol right beside the "d" in "Game Thread"?

Every time I see it, I go to wipe it off my screen, only to realize it's not on my monitor.

Attendance= 25,861.. Not bad with forecast calling for some heavy rain and thunderstorms all day and night.

I was pleasantly surprised by the crowd considering the circumstances. A little sparse at KO but filled in nicely during the 1st qtr. Listening to the crew talking with Mickey Matthews during the weather delay I was somewhat surprised to hear him so adamant in his support of App making the move to FBS. I realize he was on the ASU broadcast, but using his long history with App as an assistant at Marshall and HC at JMU he made a very solid case for the move. Some interesting comments in the sense he and Jerry Moore are very good friends and knowing how Jerry Moore was / is so against the move to FBS. We still have a small but vocal portion of fans who are strongly opposed to the move and I'm sure it gave them a bit of heartburn.

Those supporters are coming around, it's the only option going forward.

I came back after the delay. Probably 1,000 people there. Now I know how Georgia State feels.

Did Band,cheer,dance return? Anyway to know how many stayed that had seats in the club area? How many seats are in the club area?

Cheer and dance returned. Band didn't, but considering they had to.haul their equipment out of the stadium, I don't blame them. Club level looked just as empty after the delay.

That is what I figured would happen for those reasons. Did they get the cheer and dance teams to safety inside the athletics field house? I guess Band had to get back to dorms and/or music building. I assume the small instruments and uniforms go to dorms and large instruments stay in the music building.

I don't know, I was too busy leaving the stadium as the PA guy was basically counting down the time until we could possibly die via lightning in a metal death trap as the old people slowly made their way down the bottleneck stairs.

Maybe this has been discussed, but did App try to schedule a scholarship team to replace Campbell for 2014?

We tried for Savannah State but you guys had them.

Campbell was a last minute replacement for Mcneese. We had a contact on a home and home, and had to buy them out since FBS teams do not travel to FCS schools.
