Message to EMU Administration, Coaches and Players
All, I, for one, do not condone violence to resolve conflict; however, in light of these traumatic circumstances, I fully understand why the EMU football players have taken this matter into their own hands by confronting this Taylor guy. I do not know Taylor, but we know the company he associates with a convicted murderer, drug dealers and thieves. I will tell everyone that this Taylor guy is lucky that he only received some minor injuries. I believe that Mr. Scott, Mr. Jones, and Mr. Jones showed great restraint in this minor confrontation.

Now message to our administration, in light of these unusual circumstances, all three players should be reinstated effective immediately pending the hearing on the 8th.

Message to EMU players: Time to let this go. Certainly Mr. Reed was your brother, but it is time to start healing.......God Bless

They broke his orbital bone and left him unconscious. It sounds like they beat the crap out of him.

I understand the disdain they would have for this kid (even though he, himself, had nothing to do with the crime), but jumping someone is just not the right way of going about things.

The fact that you want these players reinstated shows that you do condone violence. They did more than confront him, they assaulted him. Your "showed great restraint" comment shows that you believe Demarko Taylor deserves worse than than what happened. You can spin it anyway, but these three players are now criminals and should be treated as such. Don't trade integrity for wins, it's not worth it.

I don't understand, the guy they beat up isn't the one that did the murder, and I thought he even testified against the murderer? Or am I missing something?

You are not missing anything. This guy testified against Pratt.

Guilt by association much ? Still no reason to take justice in your own hands, we live in United States of America not Somalia.

I don't condone their alleged actions, but let's not call them criminals yet. They have been charged, not convicted.

Beating up the cousin is asinine. The relatives of the killer are not at fault. It’s the killers’ fault and his fault alone. These kids have permitted pain and a warped sense of street justice to allegedly commit a brutal crime. They should pay for it if found guilty.

The killers were brought to the party by the cousin, stayed at the cousins place after the murder and the cousin DID NOT testify during the trial. The cousin did testify during a pretrial hearing.

Message to EMU Admin, Coaches, and Players:

Next time you schedule a road game against a program like Florida, just forfeit, stay home, and cash the check. Why waste money on travel?

Luckyone1,

You really need to stop smoking weed and then posting to the forum. Most of your posts in recent days have been full of acrid smoke and really reveal a naivety that is astounding. Instead of focusing on the could'ves, would'ves or should'ves why not focus solely, like a laser beam, on what kind of real improvements should be made to either better utilize the talent we have or player replacements so that we can actually compete against our opponents?

You are entitled to post whatever you want but some of this looks really silly.
