UALR AD Chris Peterson Resigns
To be honest, with as much hot water as he was in privately and publicly, I'm amazed he lasted this long.

That's great news for UALR, who is a competent administration short of actually competing in the Sun Belt honestly.

The only guy in Little Rock who understood the potential impact of a bowl game though.

Whats to say the next one wont?

As much as we hate UALR and revel in their misery...we need them to do well because ultimately it makes us look better being associated with them.

We could not be happier! Here's hoping for a great man to replace him!

What's the chances UALR moves in the football direction with a new AD??? Don't think I've ever heard anything mentioned about them making that step, would UofArKansas let them do that???

Just proud to get rid of the dead weight.

New guy needs to show we will hire winners or move them on.

In the early days of the Belt, UALR had some good hoop teams. I really forgot they were still around.

RE: UALR AD Chris Peterson Resigns
If anyone hasn't heard the full story on this, we get it now.

Peterson was at a recent UALR soccer match, and while he was there, he made a comment to another athletic official standing next to him about what nice uhh...boobies that the mother of a Soccer player had.

Unfortunately for Peterson, he was a little too close to the open PA System mic at the time, and every fan at the match heard it clearly. He was told to resign or face the axe.

Here is his statement:

On Friday, August 27 I made insensitive remarks while visiting with some athletic department employees at a soccer game. My comments were picked up by an open microphone, unknowingly, making a private conversation public. I have apologized to the parties that may have been offended by my remarks and fully acknowledge my words were insensitive and out of line. I've learned a hard lesson. As I close this chapter, I know going forward that I'll be more thoughtful, sensitive and conscientious of my actions. What my future holds I cannot say, but I'm upbeat, optimistic and ready for the next chapter.

Humm? Kind of hard to do since they beat the Cajuns at least once a year.

The program has been solid to middle of the pack but no one is chasing greatness.

The ad was setting for boring style of play and losing fans in the stands.

Made the front of MSN's site. Maybe it is just me but I find it humorous to read the article and then scroll to the photos with the links at the bottom of the page.
