Roback has much greater arm strength, is elusive in the pocket, and even picked up 30 yards using his legs. Roback had a long pass to Russell who dropped the ball. In fact our receivers dropped too many balls and must improve. If Roback gets the majority of the snaps then it is hands down his job. Go EMU

Even if you subtract rushing yards lost Bell had less than fifty yards
against Morgan State and that is billed as his strength. I think the
talent level of defensive players this week would would cause enough
havoc leading to some bad decisions while trying to bail out of
situations. I just get the impression Roback would be more methodical
while dealing with pressure.

RE: Roback much better than Bell
I'll be honest, I thought that Bell did a phenomenal job on the very first possession and he seemed to do a really good job handling the hurry up offense that Creighton employed. To be truthful if Roback struggles at some point, I could see bringing in Bell to run the hurry up as a nice change of pace not only for our offense but it forces the defense to have something else to think about. Roback looks like your better overall pro style QB who can run a little bit. He definitely can throw the ball with some pace and some accuracy and I can see why people liked him as a QB.

However, for a freshman coming into a situation where his team was already down 7-0 to begin with and he comes out and leads his team to a drive to respond on their first possession showed me a lot as well. I think Bell would be a pretty good Wildcat option and a great change of pace option for the team.

Just my two cents. :)

I like to see Bell run the wishbone.
