RE: stAte depth chart full of Freshmen
When looking at the season I have them most likely being 1-3 or 2-2 after the first 4 games.

Could be better than 2-2, but the odds are against them, and based on how the team is coming together , and how they are approaching the 1st game, not likely worse than 1-3.

After that I, do not expect them to lose another game.

Want to add that all I am basing my expectation's on are overall talent, and nothing else. So while I do not expect them to lose an SBC game based on talent, there is a good chance they will, because the SBC has a few other teams with not only good talent but more experience, and one, UL, knows how to win.

IMO a record of 8-4, +/- 1, is a likely outcome this year for A-State.

Anytime freshmen are in large numbers in your depth chart, your season will be a long learning curve. While most of them may have the physical ability to play now, the majority are not ready for mental and speed of the game adjustments. Talent is one thing, but lack of experience is another in games against other teams with similar talent and more experience.

Absolutely true and if they don't grow up in those first 4 games they are going to learn the hard way when they hit SBC play. The intensity goes up a notch when you hit conference play, something freshmen don't really know until they experience it.

In most cases there is a big difference in a 18-19 year old kid, and a 22-23 year old man, that raw talent cannot overcome.
