What are YOUR PERSONAL game day traditions...
Every avid college football fan has his tailgating or game day rituals, traditions, etc. What are yours?

Mine is to sprinkle a jug of Beautiful Eagle Creek water around my tailgating/parking spot before every home game. Although, since Mrs. gasoutherneagle and myself will be going to a few away games this season, I think this is one we'll be taking with us on the road. 04-cheers

I used to always put flowers on Ralph Adams and Mrs. Adams graves before each home game... But, since moving away, I couldn't do it... But, I plan on starting the tradition back this year.

For Away Games... I get a growler of beer from Eagle Creek Brewing co. and an Acid Cigar.

If we lose, I enjoy the beer.

If we win, I enjoy the cigar with Midleton Irish Whisky.

When I can travel up to Jonesboro...Definitely get up there as early as possible, visit old friends, professors, and acquaintances I met during my time up there, then start pre-gaming and tailgating up until kickoff, watch red wolf domination and afterwards go hit up main street bars. (at some point eat some wings to go as well!)

Away/tv games, meet up with my fellow local Astate alumni (one of our houses or bars) drink beer, watch red wolf domination.

If AState wins, I'll wear the exact same gear the next Saturday. If we lose, I change it up..

RE: What are YOUR PERSONAL game day traditions...
My morning starts with a healthy BM and a massive Jim's breakfast. Then usually another healthy BM.

I show up for the game and limit my intake to at most 2/hour.

I try to get in stadium (or if I'm watching it on tv, in my favorite seat) around the time that the players take the field for stretching (I don't know why, but I enjoy watching the warm up drills).

And win or lose, I have a healthy BM.

The last few years, my personal game day tradition has been listening to App State on my iphone while watching preschool girls play soccer, followed by dinner at Chick-fil-a or the local BBQ place.

RE: What are YOUR PERSONAL game day traditions...
I traditionally, make it to Paulson Stadium/the 'Boro about 3hrs prior to kickoff, & I wander around the tailgate area running into people I may know & catch up w/ old friends, & hang out w/ my Section K family.....for away games, I typically like to arrive about 2-3hrs before kickoff & hang out w/ Eagle Nation that made the trip. I usually, enter the stadium about 30 minutes prior to kickoff & get myself a beverage to enjoy, as I take in the sights & sounds of pregame on the field & the surrounding crowd. Then kickoff, start getting loud & giving the opposing team HELL......after a home game, I take my walk across the field to rub the bust of ERK's head on my way outta the stadium

RE: What are YOUR PERSONAL game day traditions...
Last year I would wake up around 6:30 to go to cross country meets. Then we'd race back to school because we have volleyball games starting at one then once all the girls head home we drive to SM and if I'm lucky I can get there an hour before kickoff. Then I try to get home asap so I can crash because I had a long ass day lol.

Hopefully in the future I wont have to coach volleyball so I can relax for a while and enjoy some other games.

RE: What are YOUR PERSONAL game day traditions...
On Friday night, I will pack up the SUV (put on magnets, flags, and table on the trailer hitch,) the cooler, etc., so I will be ready to head off to Boone. For a 3:30 game, I like to roll in about 10am. Immediately, flag poles go up, the canopy is opened, music cranked, and cooler positioned. The black solo cups come out until 3 1/2 hours before game time (when we can drink openly in Yosef Club lots) when I play a little Grandpa Jones singing "Mountain Dew" to signify the cups can go. In the meantime, cornhole and the grill have cranked up. I pack things away and head in about an hour before game time to enjoy the Band of Distinction and a Mountaineer victory.
