What is the benefit of picking up 14? It dilutes the payout amount from conferences. If you're adding UMass, then you're not increasing the profile of the conference.

I just don't see the benefit to adding above 12.

We would/should not go to 14 to add UMASS. This makes no sense for travel cost of non football sports.

I think it's pretty well assumed if UMass was added, it will not be all sports, it will be a football only invite.

I would think a perfect world would be to add Missouri State, move Idaho east, then when EKU, James Madison, Kennesaw State, or whichever eastern team gets ready and has the vote, sever the tie with Idaho.

Then, when UTA gets off it's tail and adds football, go ahead and sever ties with NMSU.

If you will look closely at my post...Massachusetts (football only) so there's no travel cost for the other sports.
