Just read this on GSUFANS.com for those of you in the Atlanta area, the CW 69 with carry the game at 12pm in HD! A few other local stations are picking it up too, like 58 in Macon.

Kickoff is 12:30pm, & FOX 54 in Augusta & the CSRA will be broadcasting the game next Saturday

Great news. Coverage in all of the major markets in Georgia, including the most important one. Already seeing the payoff of making the FBS jump. If the Eagles were able to pull off the upset, it would be great for recruiting.

I know you'll greatly miss McKinnon, but I think you guys have a decent shot in this game. NCSt did not win a conference game last year.

I visited the PackPride message board last night. Most of the talk with reference to the GaSo-NCSU game is the start time with the heat. A lot of fans not too eager to swelter in 90+ degree heat to watch NCSU play a "Cupcake."

The game is going to get national exposure over these stations:

Game will be on in Middle Tennessee. Channel 1014 on Comcast.

I am going to set up a viewing party in Franklin somewhere. Will know the location by Tuesday. If any GS fans on here are in the area or fans of any other Sun Belt school that would like to hang out, let me know.

I'm doing the same in Southern California. Game will be shown at Rudy's Pub & Grill in Newport Beach if anyone cares to join.

I live in the RDU area and I don't think a lot of NC State people realize two important things. 1. How good Georgia Southern is and has been 2. That they are now FBS - despite all the news locally in the last year about App's move, NC State fans probably don't realize it.

They could be rudely awakened next weekend.

Good luck! Hope you stomp them. I've never seen a fanbase that thinks as highly of themselves with as little history as they have to back it up. With the smack they talk, you'd think they were perennial ACC title contenders, not let's hope we can get to .500 and go to a bowl contenders.

From my recent and brief experience on their message boards. I echo these sentiments.

"Why on earth would I pay money to sit in 100 degree heat in the middle of the day to watch us play a cupcake." - Every NC State fan on their fan forums.

15 page thread, 14 pages are about the time of the game and that they'll have to sit in the sun. Never seen such a bunch of whiny babies.

I believe that Georgia Southern stands a great chance of beating NCSTATE. NCSTATE lost their last 8 games last year and one of those was to Wake Forest. Georgia Southern comes in with a really good recruiting class and the possibility of really improving their offense with more passing. It will be fun to watch. I will be flipping back and forth from this game and my APPS game.
