Sun Belt Offense Ranking after Game 1?
I'm excited about our newly tweaked offense. With that said I'm curious to see how each Sun Belt team will be ranked after Game 1. Granted some will play tougher opponents then others but for ***** and giggles where does each team rank from top to bottom come Labor Day?

Again for all the slow readers out there. I know some play tougher opponents then others, but where does each team rank from top to bottom come Labor Day.

He read your post correctly...Labor Day is after they play MSU...

That said, Montana State is ranked 38th in the Massey Ratings. This won't be a Savannah State / Texas Southern type game. Arkansas State might not come out with the best offensive numbers in the SBC.

Texas State plays Arkansas Pine Bluff (FCS #112). There are 124 FCS teams. Texas State gets my vote. I believe they will score at least 52 before calling off the dogs in the 3rd QTR. Seriously. Considering the guy who started this thread (I'm assuming it's a guy...) is a cat fan, I believe he knew Texas State will rank #1 in total and scoring offense come Labor Day.

Nobody is worried about Massey ratings! Arkansas state will still be able to pick the score. Too much speed and talent. Bet Massey doesn't calculate those factors

1. Louisiana. Easy win vs Southern 63-10
2. Texas State. UAPB gets smoked 59-7
3. Arkansas state. Very comfortable win 52-17

I'd be shocked if we beat Montana State by 35. They should be able to give us quite a game for 3 quarters at least, maybe worse if we stink.

Sounds like you need to bet the farm on that 8 point line if you think Ark St will win by 35.

The difference today between Montana and Arkansas was 91 and 97. A whopping six degrees. People act like northern states are 22 degrees year round. There have been several days where the temperate in NYC was higher than it was here in Troy, AL. I remember leaving Troy one week in July several years back. It was 71 degrees that day. I stayed in Massachusetts for a week and it was in the 80s all week. Your argument is completely bogus.

I don't know about that, I just looked it up. Average temperature in Bozeman, Montana is high of 83 with a low of 49. Man, that sounds like heaven right now. When I retire I think I may have a summer home up there and come back to Texas during the fall and winter, but I'm going on a tangent. Sure there are days with abnormally high temps, but if you look at the average it is a huge difference. A few years back Montana played Sam Houston State in September, Grizzly fans were whining about the heat for weeks after.

Fair enough, I'm just going by my limited experience and googling skills. Not a completely bogus argument perhaps. Looks like today was an isolated incident as highs in Montana drop in the 70s this week and Arkansas highs rise to the upper 90s. I'll watch if its on ESPN3.

JD wont be able to do much unless someone can throw it to him. I've got serious QB concerns right now. Hoping that Knighten's issues this fall are because we're strictly having him work on pocket passing, and not letting him use his legs to develop a play.

Our offense will be something between a train wreck or a B+ by SBC standards in game 1. By midseason it will be anywhere between a C+ and a solid A.

Call me a homer if you want. We've got talent on that side of the ball that hasn't been able to show what it can do yet.

If we rank by Yards/game and not total yards, it shouldn't affect yall that much. Unless you expect your offense to be terrible.

Have faith my friend. He's also working against a very experienced secondary in off season
