Vegas has him listed as OUT for the Michigan game. Is he injured, suspended, or what? I believe this is the guy that scored 21 TDs last season? Thanks in advance.

Cox has a minor lower body injury according to the university press release and is listed as day to day. There is a chance he is out against Michigan.

That report is based off a twitter feed of someone with 230 followers. App State sports information released a statement indicating Cox had a minor lower body injury and is listed as day to day. Who is correct, who knows? We will see in two weeks.

What I have seen indicates a torn meniscus with having surgery on it today. He will likely miss our first two games.

Yeah, I have heard those reports too. I guess only time will tell as there is a lot of conflicting information out there. The good news is we are deeper at RB this year and hopefully Cox can bounce back quickly.

Going to be a huge loss at Michigan regardless of Cox' back up this year due
to the experience he gained last year. We always seem to lose some star
players right before the first game. Much more predictable than the weather
in Boone.

Not to mention it's always like the brightest star we have

Hard for me to fathom a Troy fan thinking that Cox is better than Michael Gordon, who scorched the Trojans last year with 14.4 yards per carry!

Believe the man said Cox "might" be the best RB.

Would not have any chance at all of beating out the starters at A-State or UL. Not sure about the other SBC schools.

You've never watched a game of Cox's, let's not pretend you have the knowledge to make that call.

Yes and no, he was offered by MAC, SBC, C-USA programs, but chose App knowing we WOULD be FBS.

Love that kind of post.

I'm not claiming he is better, because unlike you I don't speak to things I know nothing about. How about you wait to see a player before determining how good he is.

How can you say he isnt as good as the top backs from UL and stAte? I'm not saying he's better, but there is no way to determine how any of our players stack up until we play a season in the Belt. He impressed enough people to be on the Doak Walker list so he cant be too bad.
