RE: UAB/Troy score and attendance predictions?
The game will likely come down to the end as it normally does. I dont see either team winning by more than 10.

Troy returns much of its team from last year outside our QB...we are very deep at QB and that loss wont mean a lot. We had the top offense in the SBC last year and the year before that. We will score.

Attendance will likely be 25k or so. Troy will bring its usual amount.

That Chunn kid is tough at RB. I assume Troy will have a physical running game. It should be a great game!

Coors light, miller light, and bud light taste the same to me. I'd prefer craft, but a beer is a beer. And plus it's free. What beer do you enjoy? If I had to pick a favorite it would be GP Snake Handler.

It's a football tailgate, to me that calls for light beer. Time and place for everything.

UAB/Troy score and attendance predictions?
Close game that I think we win if the defense has made any strides. I say attendance is just short of 30,000 as it was last time Troy opened the season here and we had the excitement of a new coach.

RE: UAB/Troy score and attendance predictions?
I have absolutely no idea what will happen on the field this year, but I think win or lose, we will look less confused this year.

I expect 28,000 people to be there. Less than 25,000 will be disappointing. 28k was the number for McGee's first game against Troy, or thereabouts.

It will be interesting to see which carries more weight with the general public and casual fans: The excitement of starting over with a new coaching staff, especially a battle-tested one with great PR skills, versus the dread of having to start over AGAIN and the aftertaste of McGoober's on the field disasters. I think the diehards are sold for the most part, but I don't have my fingers on the pulse of the swing fans out there.

I'll be sold when we start winning games. Great PR has never won anything

It's hard to guess how it will affect the general public. With the McGee hire, we finally hired a guy that we wanted; finally rid of the Callaway hire stench. Not sure how the general public feels about our new hire. I'm afraid the general public will be taking the wait and see approach. Clark certainly has the support of HS coaches, so that will certainly help. Attendance 24568

I predict we won't be penalized for having two players on the field with the same jersey number.

RE: UAB/Troy score and attendance predictions?
I believe weather is the wildcard when it comes to predicting attendance. If we have a sunny day, 30K is possible, especially with an in-state rival for the first game and renewed optimism in the program. Troy always brings a great crowd which adds to the college football "experience."

As for predicting the score, I believe UAB wins and wins in dominating fashion. From what I have seen, this team is infinitely more prepared physically, and more importantly, mentally from the past two years. Fragile will not be used to describe HCBC's team now and into the future.

For both UAB and Troy, how the new QBs perform, especially early will dictate the tone for the game, in my opinion. So, viewing this with my green and gold glasses, I say UAB 41 - Troy 24.

By the way, if we do lose, I don't expect to see an entire season collapse like last year.

Go Blazers!

if we top 20k it will be a good sign.

I keep forgetting about the 11am factor. At kickoff, everyone will be a little concerned about the turnout, but by halftime it should look pretty healthy.

Troy 32
UAB - 17

well....Troy 32, UAB 28 if the refs still count the Blazers reaching the 2 yard line as "touchdown". 05-stirthepot

Attendance: 20,000 even.

Should be a good game. UAB has a new coach and Troy should have a much improved defense. I won't be able to attend....but I'll be watching online.
