I imagine it has something to do with the dyslexia i assume he had, like the time he looked up at a Georgia Tech Alumni Association sign and thought it said GATA.
Okay, you done did it now. No one disrespects The Legend without recourse...
Ladies and gentlemen, the pride of the state of Georgia...
If we had only had a creek...
Ya'll just need to come up with something to do with the MARTA track beside ya'll practice field.
Headline in the AJC: 4 players shocked to death trying to jump the 3rd rail.
Could play Frogger across 75/85 to get from campus to the practice field. There is a storm drain they'd have to cross.

Yeah it would give your fan something to do besides watch the games.
Oh, i get it now. The reason you guys play in a drainage ditch is because it's the only thing to do in Statesboro

But you have tradition... national championships... EAGLE CREEK!
Win 4 games the next 3 seasons and the attendance goes down.
We're just a piddly commuter school who shouldn't be here. But... we got 30k in the door. They weren't supposed to open up the upstairs, but had to. They wouldn't do that for freebies. We got them once. We will get them again.

You got them once, and haven't had that many since. Total.

We are also SURROUNDED by a sea of woofing, red clad, die hard Bulldog lovers. Whose families have been that way for generations. We're 200 miles away from at least half our alumni base, an hour away from the closest metropolitan area and until recently little to no media coverage. WINNING was the only way we were gonna make this work. We scraped up fans little by little and the college grew to a university (6000 to 20000+). Yeah, we're loud and proud and can't stop singing our own praises... but for 30 years, that was the only way we could get anyone in I-A to hear us. We've EARNED our way in.
You on the other hand are SURROUNDED BY YOUR ALUMNI!!! In a major media market, where the woofing dawg fans are drowned out by a broad variety of fans... most of whom aren't within two states of their alma mater... and looking for something to do on a Saturday. You've got no excuses for not having succeeded, even marginally, by now!

Yeah, good luck with that.
If Georgia Tech won 4 games in past 3 years, there would be nobody at Bobby Dodd this season. You know that.
People don't strive to be part of a losing tradition, unless you are a Cubs fan. Tradition is built by winning. We win, and you watch what happens.
