I think the QB situation was far from the main reason. How about the defense in that game?
Haack will be fine he is a good young quarterback. This year he can concentrate on being a quarterback he don't have two other red shirt freshmen breathing down his neck waiting for him to make one mistake. As far as the S. Al game terrible play calling and it's hard for any defense to stop a good offense which was playing for bowl eligibility when there starting yard line was no worst than the 40 yard line.
