Looks like after screwing us over last offseason, the hard feelings have subsided as UTA and UNT will resume what should be a no-brainer rivalry with a three year contract starting next year.

My guess will be 2015 @UTA, 2016 @UNT and 2017 back at CPC.

Another couple that make sense are SMU and TCU; particularly with College Park Center. Has there been any desire to get them on future schedules? Seems like the four of you could build some pretty good cross-metroplex rivalries. I think College Park Center would remove any perceived barriers from the "Stage" years.

It is still the same ole we have nothing to gain and everything to lose attitude. Thou I'd like to point out that SMU didn't get an at-large because of their perceived lack of quality opponents, many below UTA's mediocre ranking.

I doubt if smu will ever come to our house. I was at I think the last game we played at smu and we really got homered and many were saying that we would never play them again..tcu has been to texas hall before, I dont know why they wouldnt come play at cpc..we should be able to get baylor and tech to come in..

TCU won't come (or host us) because their athletic department thinks that if we play winning won't help because they were supposed to and losing will give us an advantage in recruiting, a la Kevin Butler. Baloney I say, since we have beat them before and things didn't change. We are a better team right now, since they have put a lot of focus on competing in football and not as much in basketball, but that isn't hard to see on paper. They also fear calling us a rival, since they think the bball program is at P5 level. Truth is, when we played there, it was one of the higher attended games of their season in non-conference and TCU at Texas Hall was the second highest attended game ever at Texas Hall (it is still 8th overall).

I've always been one to think rivalry is more important than anything else. All the shuffling and distancing of once heated rivalries is really going to have a negative impact.

That's why I'm glad UNT and UTA were able to set aside the differences that had arisen and get it done.

you guys have managed to rebuild well. unt not so much. I was at that game at texas hall. the last time tcu came over..it was packed to the last row. a heck of a game .

Glad the ADs at uta and unt are professionals and got this going again.

May not be a big deal to the Southwestern Louisiana area, but it means a lot to us. Belittle all ya want, it's what we got and is pretty big news for us.
