This.

I think the entire premise of this article is people who don't know the difference between FCS and G5. I think all of the P5 conferences will adopt a "no FCS" stance, but they simply cannot afford to not play G5 schools. A pay day for us is an extra home game (and even bigger pay day) for them.

gotta agree with the panther here. I also see money for those pay-games going to 1.5 to 2M real quick.

....also, I do expect P5/G5 home and home arrangements to become much more rare, if not disappear completely.

I don't know about that... I can see Mississippi State having a lot of home and homes versus Memphis, UAB, South Alabama, Georgia State, and Tulane.

Don't think its going to happen, in fact I believe they will pay more to get G5 games to avoid FCS games.

But imagine that they do stop playing us in the regular season.

How many of the current bowls (unless they changed that rule to) would not be able to fill invites with no enough P5 teams reaching 6 wins?

Would that open up slots for G5 invites?

Then we get a bunch of bowl games with P5/Match ups?

If so: Would that lead to more exposure/pay outs and long term build the G5 up?

The pigs may never win more than 2 games again! And the days of scheduling 8-9 home games would be over!

Yeah, they'll be some push back.

From reading some of ArkStfan's posts...he's not even sure its legal for a conference to ban scheduling games against a particular group of opponents. Would never survive a court challenge.

Tell them. If they were paying attention to Alabama and FSU fans complaints about the home schedules. They heavely depended on FCS and distant G5 teams. It was killing the season tickets sales for FSU (not Alabama); however, Alabama season ticket holders were not showing up for the games.

Therefore, so Saban is saying to the Alabama folks, If I have to play all P5 opponents then everybody should have to play all P5 opponents. He is basically telling the Alabma folks to shut up and come to the games regardless.
