And we had a bad year...when we have a good season (like 2004) we can average over 41,000 (41,175 to be exact)

So this will be the year?

Teams motto is: "wait till this year"

(Fuente is tired of hearing "wait till next year")

As small as it may be it beats the places SoBama and BamaBham are stuck playing.

20K average? Go home JD you are drunk. You couldn't put 15K in the dome for the N.O. bowl.

Come on man.

JD, I know the 'official' numbers for Tulane attendance last year at the dome are in the 19,000+ range, but do you really believe those numbers? Actual attendance or season tickets sold? I saw a number of photos of the Tulane crowds and honestly, they looked far smaller.

Actual bodies we were in the 5 to 10k range at best. But then ULL probably had less than 26k actual as well. Yulman we'll be closer to those numbers actually matching, bodies vs tickets.

My point was glass house. When ULL averages 40k yall can attendance smack.

That's kinda what I was thinking though I believe you're incorrect on how the Cajuns count attendance. From what I understand, they count persons entering the stadium, not season ticket sales. I've seen a number of Cajun fans bitching that the way we count attendance puts us at a disadvantage to those who cheat, like Tulane.04-chairshot

We should average 40K for those first two home games. I'll be sure to post some attendance smack.04-cheers

You can't be serious! If anything we under report attendance. Like one person said we actually scan every ticket that comes in the stadium. This method is not always accurate because you have people that are able to get in without having there ticket scan. When we say we have 26,000 that attended the game is probably more like 28,000.

Thats why there is a big uproar about putting turnstiles at the gates so we can accurately report attendance not under report them.

That would make ULL one of the very, VERY few to report attendance that way. I highly, highly doubt this to be the case. Any link that justifies that?

At least you're honest about Tulane's attendance. I really believe we under report attendance. One game I went to last year, the lower home deck was full, the upper deck along with the visitor side was about 75%. There was a great deal of people sitting on the grass in the endzones. I was thinking 30,000 easy. I believe the box score had it at 24,000 or so.

Ha, I read the title, read who started it and assumed he meant that spring practice had started and the Louisiana heat/humidity was making men out of the boys on the field!

Regardless of the stadium(s) and the fan match ups, I think both sides were happy with the turn out and the level of competition in the bowl game.

All of this, even the disdain for one another, benefits both squads and both schools.
