If one Sun Belt team wins the Access Bowl Slot will up the view of every
team in the conference regardless. Would also make it easier for the next
SBC team to get the bid.

This bothers me none because they would have earned it.

Unlike fans of schools who have never won anything in FBS spouting superiority because of their conference patch. They didn't earn anything.

I like UL but if they go to the access bowl I would be tempted to put all their fans on ignore. Between talking about how much better they are than the SBC and how they absolutely have to get away from us.....well it will be worse than LA Tech fans. BTW that is not high praise.

Cajun fans wouldn't have to say anything for some State fans to start crapping a turd because their program wasn't mentioned in the same breath with UL. Hell, it would be darn right intolerable to swallow for some of you period!03-lmfao

Nothing to do with you guys. We don't appreciate being overlooked every year because no one believes a team with a new coach every year can be successful.

Arkansas State or Troy has had at least a share of every conference championship since 2005. I'd love to know how many teams have been picked preseason #1 during that time period.

MTSU was picked the fav in 2006....and FIU was picked the Fav in 2010.
I want to say someone besides Troy was picked #1 in 2007 or 2008

more often than not the Preseason #1 doesnt end up #1

FIU was picked 1st in 2012, and I know ASU was certainly not picked first in 2011. ULM and ULL were picked to share last year.

You are right. Generally, getting picked first is a curse in this league.

Let's see, ASU has two outright titles and the other two were shared. Your program is on its 5th coach in 5 years, doesn't return the starters UL does and lost to the Cajuns last season. Sorry, but I wouldn't have picked ASU to win the conference either, Cajun fan or not.

Nothing against astAte and I always follow rules so rules are rules but you have to know in your heart that the pendulum is changing and you were co-champs because there is no tie breaker in the SBC. We were co-champs once didn't get the bowl bid no big deal I guess we were co-champs we got rings for what its worth. We are a talented team this year and yes anyone in the SBC can beat anyone on any given night well except GaSo because they don't play either of the Co-champs but that's the hand they were dealt. The point is the media will latch on to anything that sells right now that's the Cajuns, ask the NOB we sell tickets, I can remember when it was Troy and seems like the next love fest will be with USA. Just keep doing what you do and all will be fine.

Plus we have to travel to Lafayette. That's a rather large reason not to choose us this time. I don't blame anyone for marking UL as the one beat this year.

But my comments were more in regard to the attention we have not gotten over the last 3 years for what we HAVE actually done. We have gotten less recognition than UL despite the three rings and two bowl trophies without coaching compared to one ring and three bowl trophies with the same coach. (notice I count your ring as a ring...there is no such thing as a co-championship in the Sun Belt).

WKU and motorcycle boy were the darlings and FIU and Mario the darlings before that. It just shows that sports reporting is more TMZ than CNN.

It also has something to do with geographic location and the news brownout in our own state...none of which is the fault of UL either.

Exactly, your obstacles are not our concern. We have LSU located 50 miles down the road and our own history of ineptitude to deal with. Every program in this conference has had their share of obstacles and most of those are not unique. This is why we are all in this conference together. ASU has found a way to rise above those obstacles and that is why you have the respect of all the programs in this conference.

Having said that, complaining about what attention the Cajun's athletics program has received this season makes ASU fans look petty, jealous and similar to the Monrovians. I poke fun at State fans because you guys are rivals and I have a great deal of respect for the program, although I deny it on most occasions. What State has accomplished in football over the past five years in the face of adversity at the end of each season, has been nothing short of amazing! That is something to be proud of regardless of what any other program in the Sun Belt has accomplished.

I have a patent pending on the use of Monrovians. I'll let this one slide, but from here forward I'll expect $ for the use of my intellectual property.05-mafia

I think the Monrovians as you say are being overlooked this year. I actually think we will be pretty good and make a bowl.

Perhaps so, though I really know little about the team. Looks to me like Browning's shoes are big ones to fill. Will you guys be able to do that?

Unless you frequent the UL boards often, I doubt very seriously you were the first to use that term.

All depends on Pete Thomas. The players are saying he is even more of a leader than Browning and that his arm is so strong it feels like he throws it 100 mph. The receivers are very impressed, so we'll see. Defense will be very strong and Centarius Donald and the RB's should be strong, as well as the receivers. We have a very experienced OL, but they along with hoping Thomas is the man are my concerns.

Unless you frequent the UL boards often, I doubt very seriously you were the first to use that term.

You need to get laid.

Mr Fanatico, my boy Crazy Cajun has quite a few children and a lovely wife. Getting laid aint no problem. You, on the other hand really need to visit http://www.raginpagin.com or Louisiana.scout.com to get a feel for what real Cajun fan think. It aint all kumbaya.
