A big part of the fun of the CAA Zone was "trolling" the boards of other teams in the conference. I rarely, if ever, posted a comment on the boards of other teams, but it was a lot of fun to read what other fans/teams were up to and what their fans thought about their team playing against the Tribe.

They likely will be a bit of a surprise, new to CAA, but have Coker (love the name, would be great at FSU or U. Miami) back. We do not know them, and play there on the road. Their fans (posters) have that game as a win for the Seawolves.

Is there anyone on this board who knows someone in the AD? I would think a link to this forum should be available on the Tribeathletics site, since it is the only true Tribe forum. There is a tab named "Fan Zone." I think they could easily provide a link to "Tribe Talk Forum."

That is a great idea. Right now, every school in the CAA has an active fan comment Forum, EXCEPT W&M. [Lets face facts, this Board has, at most, two dozen W&M posters]. Many schools have a school sponsored [or organized and supported] fan comment Forum.. There is no reason why former CAA Zone posters from W&M can not be, at least, directed over to the CSNbbs Board as it is obvious the CAA ZONE is not coming back.

Saw that a few of them say we are middle table team. I guess with no QB that's somewhat accurate, but with a defense like ours every game will be close.

We tried to get ahead of this over a year ago. All of us saw the writing on the wall...no way a GMU guy would continue to dump money and time into an unprofitable CAA board.

Only problem with expecting google to do the heavy lifting is that the first 4 pages of search results do not direct anyone over here. CAAzone, yes, CSNbbs, no. With time and enough activity, it could make its way up the search listings...but since we already know about it and none of us find this by google, it might never happen.

In reading Message Boards of other CAA schools , many are attempting to get the word out about a switch from CAA ZONE to either a private school Message Board or to CSNbbs by getting folks to spread the word via Twitter.

Schools aren't allowed to promote any website that discusses potential recruits, per NCAA rules.

This is actually *DRASTICALLY* atypical. It opens up a huge can of worms. For one, it creates a huge compliance burden. It would make discussing recruits INSTANTLY not allowable. Secondly, no Athletic Department gives official blessing to something they don't control. And I do not allow for moderation from people within Athletic Departments for obvious conflict of interest reasons.

Also we had a few UNCW fans register here in the last day or two. If somebody is spreading the word to them keep it up.

I see that UNCW fan; BILLTHEBIGSEAHAWKFAN has registered for CSNbbs. "Bill" was a prolific poster for UNCW on the CAA Zone so perhaps more will follow.

Might want to include Spidernation on that list.

It does seem weird that none of the Hofstra or Drexel posters have figured out yet this new board. They were pretty active on the Zone.
