AJ Turner declared eligible for stAte (Arkansas Transfer)
NCAA has cleared Arkansas Transfer AJ Turner to be immediately eligible for AState. He was Freshman all SEC before deciding to transfer here. He must pass two summer classes, but if he does, he'll be an almost certain starter at LB, and will have three years to play.
A Few Preseason Magazines made him preseason all SEC despite the fact he had not been declared eligible yet. He was a 4 star LB out of High School that grew up 30 miles from Jonesboro.

He has to complete some classwork this summer but if he makes it is one of three ASU newcomers that could be the best at their position in the SBC (they have more than a dozen newbies that could probably start and be a standout at most G5 schools). One of the other two also started in the SEC as a true, and like Turner is coming back from an injury.
He does have to beat out a true sophomore who beat out the incumbent(who was an outstanding football player that ASU fans are saying did not like going from a star to 3rd team, and left), and that may not be easy.

Can you please name the other 12+ stAte newbies besides AJ Turner who you think could "probably start and be a standout at most G5 schools?" I wasn't aware stAte had that significant of a talent influx.

That is your problem not mine, and AJ was a part of the 12+.

Aj turner, Blake Mack, Daryl Rollins , 2 O-line kids that got P5 offers at last second and Blaise Taylor would be my picks

You are off to a pretty good start according to the ASU coaches, but they are not all trues.
A few were on campus last year but ASU (which is the most talented team in the SBC) was lucky to have enough talent at their position to hold them out, some were able to get their nose wet on ST, at least one was not physically ready, or went down early.
Everyone of them will make a strong push for considerable PT, several should end up starting, and most will end up on the 2-deep somewhere as the year goes along.
They are the most talented group of players that ASU has brought into the program since the resurgence in talent that lead to the last three seasons started. They are also the reason ASU will be the clear favorite to win the SBC the next few seasons.
You cannot be the best G5 team, and not be better than the other G5 teams when it comes to talent.
