Saw on the Hawk board some tweaks they made to their helmets, figured it'd be another good preseason summer thread to start up

There is a maroon helmet that was shown awhile back but not sure if that is permanent or just for certain games.

Start with gold pants and get rid of the maroon ones.

For a couple of seasons, the football department has tweeted out White Helmets with our 'stAte' logo as well as a black helmet with the red wolf but never has actually been used. However, we've seen some sizable change ups to the jerseys last three seasons (I'd like to keep the 2013 black unis we started using last year).

Georgia Southern will be wearing the same uniforms for every game this year except for homecoming when the Eagles will wear a yet to be released Alternative uniform. The Eagles have worn an alternative uniform for one game each of the last two years. Each of the alternative uniform has been based on a different theme the past two years.

The statement "Thinks Traditions'" has been mentioned as the theme for this years alternative uniforms.

Hopefully there will be bigger, faster players in the App uniforms this year than last, so the change would be bigger uniforms.

When asked about our alternate uniforms our AD replied on twitter "Think about our traditions."

Pretty vague hint if you ask me, but nevertheless was enough to keep people guessing.

I'd make sure to watch all of your games if that was the case.

According to TXSTs Scout page, the Bocbats will be using maoon helmets this season. The players voted for it. We used them 2-3 times last year. I'm not a fan, we already lost gold pants and now helmets. There's already one maroon team in the state...

The most important change will be the patch on the chest.

App changed unis last year and went with a flat back helmet and different helmet sticker. No alternative uniforms appears to be in place this year, however, I am of belief that we will do a block A with the stars and stripes filling in the Block A for the Campbell game and will also bring back the white-filled block A for a game as well.

If anybody has any pics of ULL's, ULM's App's, etc... New sets, I'd love to see them!

No need to mess with perfection. I like the TXST unis as they are. JMO.
