And he's eligible to play this fall. I wonder what that means for your 4-star QB Roback who started as a true freshman last year.

Wow, just checked out his accolades and he looks to be a real nice addition. He's a former consensus 4-star QB out of Michigan. Offer list is dang impressive. Aside from Penn St. & LSU, he held offers from schools like Oregon, Michigan St., Louisville, Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, Virginia Tech, Wisconsin, West Virginia

He was rated as the 2nd best dual-threat QB in the 2010 recruiting class per rivals.com & also per 247sports.com.

Sounds great, see if the're talking about it on the LSU board and perhaps Penn State. We have a 4 star running back and he was a hot doggier that need to be settle down. Think ours will do fine and hope the same for you, except at the Razor.

I'm no EMU fan. I just thought it was a pretty cool get for them so I decided to share.

Finally making the move he should have done 3 years ago. He was terrible at QB for State Penn, getting beat out by a walk-on and do to depth issues they kept plugging him back in when the other guy faltered. When he decided to transfer Joepa wouldn't grant him a release. Dumb move to go to LSU, he wasn't ever able to get up the depth chart and never played a down. If he was serious about QBing he should've transferred home and already had two seasons under his belt starting and showing the NFL scouts what he is all about.

Wonder why he had to sit out a year at LSU before playing when the sanctions were coming down at PSU. Weren't PSU players allowed to transfer to another program without waiting?

But if he didn't sit out a year he may not have any eligibility left to play at EMU

I believe he redshirted a year.

Starting September will be his 5th year out of high school (class of 2010).

He didn't have to sit out the transfer year, he just wasn't good enough to play so he got that year back as a redshirt season.
